  • Grant Applications: Write and submit grant applications, including those for Cultural Property, to secure funding for collection-related projects.

  • Software Management: Utilize Embark Collections Management Software for cataloging, managing, and documenting the collection.

  • Institutional Navigation: Skillfully navigate the complexities and responsibilities associated with working in an ‘A’ designated institution.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Director, Chief Curator, and other gallery staff to achieve the gallery’s objectives.

Requirements

  • Education: A degree in Museum Studies, Art History, or a related field.

  • Experience: Proven experience in collections management, preferably in a gallery or museum setting.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using collections management software, preferably Embark.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the principles of collection care and management. Familiarity with the processes involved in acquisition proposals and grant applications.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members and departments.
