Harmonic are delighted to be working on a retained basis with one of the UK’s most exciting and renowned live entertainment businesses in the search for their next Finance Director. With an international presence, the company have grown from strength to strength since inception, organising and promoting some of the UK’s most popular events and shows.

The Business:

After developing an international foothold in recent years, our client is leading the way in their field. With turnover at circa £15 million for the financial year, the business is back to being on strong financial footing post Covid, looking to grow further this year. The business has also just been subject to a £5 million fundraise, with a significant amount of capital allocated specifically to aid the growth of the business.

With a strong team with established finance professionals, the role will be the number one in finance reporting into a CEO who cultivates a great company ethos of mentorship and development. There is also a commitment to inclusivity and diversity, with a sociable and fun team throughout the business.

The Role:

Reporting directly into the Directors, this hybrid role will be responsible for the management and development of a finance team of 2, with preliminary plans to build out the team later in the year. Your responsibilities will include overarching control of the finance function, ensuring that a high level of financial control is established and maintained. As well as the general accounting duties, such as forecasting and budgeting, this position will be highly commercial. The Directors are looking for a Finance Director who is commercially astute enough to play an important role in setting the commercial and financial strategy of the business.

Duties:

Duties will include:

  • Overall management of the Finance function
  • Working closely with the Directors to produce the commercial and financial strategy
  • Responsibility for the budgeting and forecasting
  • Preparation of annual accounts
  • Supervising and reviewing Management Accounts

What we need to see (essential):

Ā· ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified

Ā· Experience managing a finance team

Ā· Strong personal interest in live music and events!

What we’d like to see (beneficial):

Ā· Prior experience in the Events/Festivals/Entertainment sector

Ā· Experience working in consumer and supplier facing businesses.

Salary: Ā£110,000 – Ā£150,000

Start Date: April, 2023
