Facebook is looking for an Executive Producer for Visual Systems (VS), which is a pillar within the Product Foundation design org that supports the Facebook App. VS is responsible for providing creative direction and designing dynamic product experiences through inspiring imagery, expressive customization, and engaging visual systems. In this role, you will collaborate with other product teams across the company to create a unified experience and will be responsible for shaping the way 3 billion people engage with Facebook.The Executive Producer will lead one of VS’s sub pillars as both a manager and an operational leader, providing mentorship, coaching and strategic support to their Producer team, and partnering with the team’s Design Director on holistic vision and operational execution. This sub pillar is responsible for supporting design teams that partner with other product teams to provide creative direction and design dynamic product experiences, and the Executive Producer will be expected to lead a team that can proactively define better ways to quickly communicate, collaborate and ship products and systems, using state-of-the-art tools and at the highest quality standards. Executive Producer Responsibilities:

  • Be a key strategic partner with Design leadership across FB App and also Family of Apps (e.g., Messenger, Instagram, etc.)
  • Build meaningful cross-functional relationships across FB App, Company and Marketing Leadership
  • Leverage relationships to inform problem solving and improve our design team’s focus and velocity
  • Leverage experience with creative and design to improve our work and processes
  • Partner with Creative leadership and deploy your expertise, even in ambiguous situations
  • Manage and coach experienced producers to achieve career goals and personal growth
  • Be a role model and mentor to Producers across FB Inc. (not just the app)
  • Provide operational strategy for complex problems associated with a growing organization and limited design resources
  • Be able to ruthlessly and strategically prioritize impact opportunities and execute
  • Ensure we are resourcing both the short term needs as well as looking ahead, and planning for the next big challenge across product design teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7 or more years experience as a Producer or Design Program Manager in product, interactive, agency, or other related field
  • At least 5 years of direct management experience with small to medium team sizes, including distributed teams
  • Experience managing a team of individual contributors
  • Demonstrated knowledge of both creative and design process and strategy
  • Knowledge in providing creative feedback and critique
  • Experience in developing design standards and design tools
  • Understanding of art production process
  • Experience working with external vendors, including sourcing and negotiating
  • Experience managing large, complex budgets across multiple cost centers
