We are a regional retailer looking for a creative director who is as passionate about serving multicultural consumers as we are. You are a team player and the kind of person who can lead and inspire a creative team composed of freelancers and internal creators to new heights.

We’re searching for someone who can use both sides of the brain. Process-driven, big picture thinker, strategic, with deep relationships and wide experience in the production space. Need someone who has experience with talented voice-over direction, video production, creative development, art direction, copywriting, and social media marketing

He/she is a naturally creative mind but also a team administrator. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment can juggle several projects, timelines, deliverables, internal meetings, and brainstorm sessions and who understands great creativity not only wins awards but drives revenue.

Position Requirements

The Creative Director (CD) is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the outstanding quality of all creative products produced by the internal agency. The Creative Director reports to CMO and works collaboratively with agency staff and vendors, and regularly engages with cross-functional teams and leaders to manage a pipeline of work from multiple business units.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

·       Senior creative leadership for projects within the internal agency, providing both a holistic overview as well as a detailed understanding of business units projects

·       Gaining/maintaining familiarity with the company industry, products, business culture, and competition

·       Supervises monthly creative and production of multichannel + omnichannel ad campaigns

·       Provides creative inspiration, direction, mentorship, coaching, guidance, and performance management/reviews to creative team members, ensuring each team member produces the highest quality of work

·       Understands advertising, digital, and media industry trends/developments and uses this knowledge to present business-building ideas for the client and the agency

·       Able to articulate to CMO and team members the rationale behind each concept

·       Work with CMO to identify solutions through creative and marketing strategies

·       Provides support to functional areas focusing on strategic objectives and consistent delivery of the creative product

·       Fosters strong collaborative teams across functional areas

·       Supervisory responsibilities include carrying out related responsibilities per the company’s policies and applicable laws and collaborating with Senior Leadership and HR on related issues, including hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding employees, and addressing resolving problems

·       Leads and mentors the creative team in developing brands, campaigns, and individual deliverables

·       Leads the creative process from inception through the review phases of the creative plan

·       Nurture talent while working to grow their knowledge and skills

·       Adheres to the stated workflow and processes of our company

Skills and Abilities:

·     Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

·       Functional expertise within Agency or in-house Creative 7+ years

·       Leading and mentoring teams 3+ years

·       Proven portfolio

·     Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university (preferably in creative, design, advertising, or related field)

·     Ability to communicate concepts and ideas to others through written, drawn, and verbal means, particularly design staff across disciplines and project managers

·     familiarity with agency terminology, processes, and emerging/relevant technology and social/media channels

·     Good listening skills

·     Strong creative leader with proven creative and execution

·     Sense of humor
