Job Description
A new project is now casting youth ice hockey players in the Pittsburgh area. This kids casting call is seeking experienced young athletes who know how to play ice hockey and have their own equipment.

Producers are looking for energetic players ready to hit the ice for a paid filming day. If your child loves hockey and is comfortable skating and playing in full gear, this is a great opportunity to appear in a professional production.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in on-ice hockey scenes during filming

Event Services is now staffing for the 2026 NAPNAP event and seeking experienced event professionals to join their local team. This opportunity is ideal for dependable, customer-focused individuals interested in working large-scale convention and exhibit hall events. All positions are independent contractor (1099) roles.

Selected staff will work across multiple shifts and event days, supporting food and beverage operations and providing exceptional guest service throughout the event.

Job Responsibilities

  • Espresso Baristas: Prepare and serve coffee beverages efficiently in a high-volume environment.

  • Food & Beverage Support: Assist with setup, restocking, service flow, and breakdown of food and beverage stations.

  • Servers: Provide professional guest service, assist attendees, and maintain cleanliness and organization in service areas.

Position Summary:

The Medical Editor is responsible for a range of editorial services, including leading the editorial work for their assigned accounts, which entails medical editing, fact checking, and preparing submissions of pharmaceutical marketing materials. Medical Editors must be able to prioritize multiple deadline-sensitive projects, take ownership and work independently, have a keen attention to detail, and have strong verbal and written skills. The Medical Editor is expected to uphold the Precision Guiding Principles of Accountability, Mutual Respect, Client Service, Collaboration, and Purpose in all areas of work.

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

Medical Editing

  • Copy edit each project for correct spelling, grammar, consistency, balance, tone, fulfillment of creative brief, correct client and AMA style, and appropriate and accurate referencing
  • Perform fact checking and clean reads, including unbranded claims, core promotional materials, and data-related claims
  • Review client and medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) changes in context of the piece as a whole; edit within context
  • Responsible for MLR submission preparation (tagging and linking in the client’s submission system)

 

Agency Process

  • Assume lead editing responsibilities on one or more accounts
  • Represent department at internal kickoff and status meetings
  • Demonstrate proficiency in and adherence to Editorial review process and best practices
  • Ensure all pieces are compliant with each client’s unique MLR submission process and best practices
  • Work collaboratively with assigned account team(s) to identify and suggest efficiencies to internal routing process

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field (eg, Communications, English, Life Science, Regulatory)
  • Work experience: Minimum of 3 years editing experience in the medical communication, pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry
    • At least 1 year of experience in the advertising and/or pharmaceutical marketing industry preferred
    • At least 1 year of experience editing publications (manuscripts, posters, etc) preferred

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with scientific search engines including PubMed and Google Scholar
  • Strong proficiency in American Medical Association (AMA) Style (11th edition)
  • Familiarity with Medical Legal Regulatory (MLR) requirements and client submission platforms (e.g. Veeva)
  • High degree of autonomy and team- and detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal skills; mastery of English grammar
  • Ability to prioritize deadline-sensitive projects and juggle competing priorities
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with MLR reviews
    • Knowledge of FDA requirements with respect to pharmaceutical advertising
    • Familiarity with editing long-form writing e.g., publications, dossiers

Required:
•    Review and approve scripts and rundowns to ensure journalistic accuracy and quality in accordance with our mission.
•    Daily review of news product before and after air to ensure shows meet and exceed the mission of impactful journalism, quality, accuracy and stellar execution.
•    Ensure thoroughness of coverage.
•    Assist in evaluating and leading staff members to promote peak performance and efficiency.
•    Newsroom leader with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
•    Effective communicator to those in the field with story composition and live reporting.
•    Ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines
•    Excellent news judgment, ability to problem-solve
•    Key collaborator with newsroom
•    Strong writing and script review; proven ability to react to breaking news situations
•    A creative storyteller and the shows orchestra leader
•    Able to generate enterprise stories that are compelling and provide a viewer benefit
•    Able to build contacts in the community for developing impactful stories

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
•    College Degree preferred.
•    At least 3 years of experience as a producer in a commercial broadcast setting
•    Knowledge of social media and how to use it to promote to broadcast and the web; experience writing for the web required.
•    Knowledge of iNews rundown systems and Grass Valley Stratus, and Edius editing solutions preferred
•    Experience with emerging media techniques and equipment in a newsroom setting a plus.
•    Must be able to work all shifts
