PSL casts six recurring on-camera players for a remotely recorded 12-episode beta season.
This is a live, unscripted political role. We want people who listen, answer the argument they actually heard, and make real disagreement fun to watch. Formal debate experience helps but isn't required. Strong candidates come from comedy, improv, podcasting, hosting, journalism, trial work, advocacy, teaching, student debate, public speaking, or a job that handed them a sharp point of view.
We send a short research brief before each debate. Players should already broadly share the politics of their team; nobody is asked to defend beliefs they don't hold.
I want to give a character of mine her very own spin-off title, but since a good game needs a good lead, I thought I’d look here for an actress willing to voice a character for an unpaid project. Let’s meet Lollie Greenwall, who is an ally introduced in Alaric’s Journey, a spinoff of my game Nova Boltstar! To call Lollie a best friend to Alaric would be a bit of a major stretch, but that is exactly what this sea explorer would call herself. She is very strong, brave, stubborn, has a wicked sense of humor, and is unafraid to speak her mind, even if it gets her into big trouble! But underneath all that rough exterior lies a beating heart of loyalty. She will battle alongside her friends if the time calls for it. She met Alaric when he nearly pushed her off a bridge as he ran to start a journey for the Starflower. After listening to his cause, she decides to come along for the quest as an ally. After he asked her what she can do, she threw him forward a lengthy distance, which proved a good deal of the reliability she has. She can smash through brick walls, but not through pine pillars due to an allergy. Her hands swell up and she has a rash everywhere else. This doesn’t have a significant impact on gameplay, but I thought it would be a logical explanation to why she can’t bash pine pillars in the game. She and Nova often butt heads over Lollie’s lack of proper respect for royalty, but through thick and thin Lollie is a good friend and loyal ally and friend to Nova and Alaric. Since she is plus-sized, it would be accepted by many if her actress was plus size too. But other sizes are welcome too. She is a 20s-year-old adult and I kind of envisioned her having a Lauren Ash-type voice with an ordinary American accent. Here are her audition lines, and if you have any questions, feel free to message me and let me know!
“Actually” made it? As if you didn’t think I’d be here?
Let’s go then! This sounds like a very noble quest to rescue my crew, and possibly the world!
(SARCASTICALLY) You’re right, I’m jealous. I’m very jealous that I don’t look like I crawled out of a dumpster.
This project will not use Artificial Intelligence, and I would like audition submissions to be made in an AABBCC format. I hope you audition and enjoy! The project will either close on New Year’s Eve or when the perfect actress is found. In terms of location, recording on a microphone from home or a studio will be required, as no traveling will be needed.
