Job Description
A short film is seeking two male actors for small speaking roles as professional movers. Casting is open to performers ages 18 and older of any ethnicity who can naturally portray movers carrying sealed boxes and small furniture into a home. Both roles include brief dialogue and require actors who are comfortable with physical movement while delivering lines naturally on camera.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray a professional mover in a short film.
- Carry cardboard boxes and small pieces of furniture during interior scenes.
- Deliver brief scripted dialogue naturally on camera.
- Follow instructions and blocking from the directing team.
- Interact naturally with other performers while completing moving-related actions.
- Maintain professionalism throughout the production.
Requirements
- Male actors, ages 18 and older.
- Open to all ethnicities.
- Comfortable carrying and moving boxes and small furniture.
- Able to perform physical actions while delivering dialogue.
- Must be able to work as a local hire in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia.
- Reliable and comfortable taking direction on set.
Compensation
- $125 per day.
Real People Casting – Native Irish and Australian English Speakers
Job Description
A real people casting project is seeking Vancouver-based individuals who speak English with an authentic native Irish or Australian accent. This opportunity is designed for everyday people rather than professional performers, making it ideal for individuals who can bring a genuine voice, personality, and natural delivery to the project.
Job Responsibilities
- Participate in an in-person screening in Vancouver
- Speak naturally using an authentic Irish or Australian accent
- Participate in a voice-focused casting process
- Follow direction provided during the screening and production process
- Deliver a genuine, conversational performance if selected
Requirements
- Must be based in Vancouver
- Must speak English with a native Irish or Australian accent
- Professional acting experience is not required
- Open to real people from a variety of backgrounds and professions
- Must be comfortable participating in an in-person screening
- Must be eligible to participate as non-union talent
Compensation
- $125 CAD per hour for attending the screening
- $125 CAD per hour if hired
- $100,000 USD buyout for a 3-year term if selected and hired
