Job Description
A vertical soap opera/web series is casting a talented child actor for the role of Esme Carter, the emotional heart of this heartfelt family story. Filming will take place in Charlottetown, PEI, and surrounding areas, with full travel accommodations provided for the child and one guardian.

Storyline
Ten years ago, a wealthy crime boss faked his grandchild’s death and drove the child’s father into hiding. A Thanksgiving accident reunites the mother, child, and ex, forcing them to face the truth and decide whether to remain broken or rebuild as a family.

Role – Esme Carter

• Age: 9 (child who looks 9–10, not older)

• Personality: Bright, kind, and a little stubborn — longing for one Thanksgiving with both parents

• Performance: Honest and natural, with no “stagey” precociousness

• Involves light physical action and activity

Job Responsibilities

• Portray Esme with warmth and emotional authenticity

• Participate in 7–8 workdays on set, plus 1 prep/fitting day, 2 travel days, and 1–2 hold days

• Follow direction and collaborate with cast and crew

Requirements

• Child actor, age 9–10, any ethnicity

• Natural warmth, expressive eyes, strong listening skills

• Comfortable taking direction and performing light physical action

• Guardian required on set at all times

Compensation

• $500 CAD per day

• +15% agency fee (if applicable)

• Travel, accommodations, and ground transport provided for child and guardian

• Per diem: $45/day

• Hold and travel days paid at ½ daily rate
