Job Description
A paid speech technology research project is seeking participants in Vancouver, British Columbia, to have natural conversations with another person while helping improve speech recognition and interpretive technology. The project supports technology that processes and understands different ways people speak, including applications related to accessibility and assistive technology. This is not a voice-cloning or generative AI project, and participants’ voices will not be used to create synthetic performances. Acting or technology experience is not required.
Job Responsibilities
- Participate in natural, unscripted conversations with another person.
- Speak clearly and authentically during recorded research sessions.
- Help researchers improve technology designed to recognize and interpret human speech.
- Follow session instructions provided by the research team.
- Participate professionally throughout sessions lasting approximately 4–8 hours.
Requirements
- Comfortable having natural conversations with another person.
- No acting experience required.
- No AI or technology background required.
- Able to communicate naturally during extended recording sessions.
- Must be able to participate in projects based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Compensation
- Up to $125 per hour.

Job Description
A short film is seeking two male actors for small speaking roles as professional movers. Casting is open to performers ages 18 and older of any ethnicity who can naturally portray movers carrying sealed boxes and small furniture into a home. Both roles include brief dialogue and require actors who are comfortable with physical movement while delivering lines naturally on camera.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray a professional mover in a short film.
- Carry cardboard boxes and small pieces of furniture during interior scenes.
- Deliver brief scripted dialogue naturally on camera.
- Follow instructions and blocking from the directing team.
- Interact naturally with other performers while completing moving-related actions.
- Maintain professionalism throughout the production.
