Overview and Responsibilities:

WJZ- TV in Baltimore is seeking a full-time Assignment Desk Editor! The Assignment Editor will assist Reporters and Producers with daily news content. This individual will also work with digital teams to post, push or stream content on all platforms. The ideal candidate has the ability to establish and maintain contacts and sources for news coverage.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Effectively develop issue-oriented enterprise stories that resonate with and impact our viewers, demonstrating a strong range of content across topics.
  • Clearly understand and communicate the key details and components required for effective news coverage.
  • Actively monitor daily local and national news and be proficient in researching information online and through social media.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years newsroom experience.
  • Have a working knowledge of microwave and satellite vans, as well as Dejero and LiveU transmission systems. Familiarity with Zoom and Skype is preferred.
  • Be familiar with iNews, personal computers, and video editing equipment, including Grass Valley systems.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Be aggressive, proficient in managing crews, breaking news, and daily news content, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience conducting both pre-interviews and interviews as needed.
  • College Degree Preferred.

Hiring Salary Range: $56,000.00 – 62,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies.   • Ability to stand, walk, and engage with customers for extended periods in retail environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds (demo materials, product samples, etc.)
  • Comfort working in busy environments with frequent customer interactions

General Summary:

The Social & Influencer Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic social media and influencer marketing initiatives that align with brand goals and drives measurable impact. This role leads content planning, campaign execution, and performance analysis across platforms, while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency.

Job Details

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategy aligned with brand goals, programs, and promotional events. Set platform-specific goals and KPIs.
  • Track and analyze KPIs including engagement, reach, sentiment and conversions across social & influencer programs. Provide insights and recommendations for optimization (bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and campaign wrap).
  • Oversee and/or collaborate on creation of platform-specific content (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, etc) that reflects brand tone and values and drives engagement and conversion and applies learnings & insights to content.
  • Tool Proficiency: partner with ICUC and Sprinklr (and others) for social listening, scheduling, analytics, and community engagement.
  • Partner with agency(ies) to develop and execute influencer campaigns that support brand awareness and business priorities.
  • Review content briefs, timelines, and deliverables; ensure brand compliance and coordinate with store teams for location shoots.
  • Monitor platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging trends to keep the brand relevant.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Strong storytelling and creative content development skills.
  • Data-driven and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Fluency in social platforms (Meta, TikTok, X, Pinterest, Etc).
  • Familiarity with influencer platforms and the creator economy.

Qualifications

Work Experience &/or Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
  • Proven track record of managing successful social and influencer campaigns.
  • 3-5 years of experience in social media & influencer marketing (preferably in consumer goods, retail or lifestyle brands).
