Casting Call: Skycam Utility – Technical Operations Assistant

Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Skycam Utility to assist our Technical Operations team during game day operations and strike for remote TV broadcasts. The primary role involves managing the cables and reels attached to the Skycam to ensure they remain untangled and in proper working condition. This position also requires assisting with the setup and teardown of equipment, including unloading and loading medium to heavy cases from broadcast trucks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup and strike (teardown) of Skycam and related broadcast equipment.
• Monitor and manage Skycam’s cables and reels to prevent tangling and ensure smooth operation during broadcasts.
• Help unload and load broadcast equipment from trucks, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
• Work at heights, including climbing and walking on catwalks, as needed for Skycam operations.
• Collaborate with the technical team to ensure all Skycam operations are executed effectively and safely.

Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working at heights, including climbing and walking on catwalks.
• Capable of lifting equipment up to 40 lbs.
• Must assist with both the setup and strike phases of the broadcast.
• A safety-focused and proactive attitude is essential for success in this role.
