Candidates should have a strong background in putting compelling stories together for our viewers. More than three years television news experience required. (Please do not apply if you do not have a background in television news).

Candidates should have a working knowledge of NLE platforms (GRASS VALLEY EDIUS is a plus). About theRole: Data Analyst – Transcript Scopist/Editor

 

The Team:

The team’s primary responsibility is to transcribe and create documentation or transcripts for both external and internal clients from financial-related calls or non-financial-related events that can be captured via video or audio. We offer several products to our clients, some of which are but not limited to a live streaming product for real time capture of events, a preliminary copy and a final error-free copy of the event.

 

Responsibilities and Impact:

Scopists will work in collaboration with an Editor to create a transcript of a conference call. Additionally, she/he will assist the team leaders in continuously improving the collection procedures.

 

In addition to transcription, the team will assist in the collection of other Business Information – private company profiles, etc. Scopists and Editors will have complete knowledge of the collection policies and tools.

 

Additionally, the candidate should be able to display text summarization techniques, employing the skillful execution of extracting the most pertinent information from a subset of text and phrases from a written document, with light editing and editorial touches to create a compelling transcript product in a predefined turnaround time.

 

Core responsibilities include:

  • Create publication-quality transcripts of high speed, multi-speaker events inolving specialized terminology in a paired team environment. Each role is dependent on the other and must be coordinated precisely with the other team member to produce final output. Work may be performed in either live-call or from recorded-call material.
  • Must be able to meet or exceed production metrics and meet client contract SLAs
  • May be required to proof and/or edit work performed by other Scopists in order to meet quality control guidelines
  • Collaborate with peers and Team Leaders to continuously improve the transcription workflow process
  • Identify and report any or gaps in policies/procedures
  • Build subject matter expertise towards various workflow/processes of the dataset
  • Contribute towards process improvement through error checks, audit suggestions and tool enhancements
  • Must exemplify problem solving skills using technical/digital tools where appropriate such as but not limited to Python, VBA, Excel, and/or SQL.
  • Collect other Business Information, such as private company profiles, as required by S&P Global
  • Editorial skills and contextualization of textual metadata into a summarized format using extractive and abstractive method of text summarization.

Job Description

Hiring a skilled, experienced Wedding Video Editor to join its post-production team on a project-based, fully remote basis. This role is for editors who can confidently cut cinematic wedding films from start to finish—with strong storytelling, pacing, emotion, and music sense. Editors will work on a steady flow of wedding projects when available, with higher priority and volume going to the most consistent and reliable collaborators.

Job Responsibilities

  • Edit cinematic wedding films from raw footage through final deliverables.
  • Create multiple deliverables per project, which may include:
    • Teaser (~1 minute)
    • Highlight film (6–10 minutes)
    • Documentary edit (10–40 minutes; vows + speeches)
    • IG-ready assets (e.g., carousel layouts pulled from footage/stills)
  • Perform basic-to-polished color work for natural, cinematic looks.
  • Select music and cut with emotional pacing and strong story structure.
  • Manage deadlines and communicate timelines clearly (including when extended timelines are needed).
  • Stay organized while handling multiple projects and maintaining consistent quality.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

CBS News Chicago is in search of its next innovative visual storyteller.  Ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of NPPA & cinematic style principles, a keen eye and ear for detail, with a demonstrated body of work experience.  To cover news events and stories as a per diem Photographer Technician for CBS Chicago newscasts CBS News Streaming, and local programming.  Will support multi-platform social media strategies and cbschicago.com.  Field duties include but not limited to professional operation of broadcast cameras, drones, digital microwave and satellite ENG vehicles, non-linear editing systems, and IP based broadcast applications.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Candidates should demonstrate knowledge and experience with all aspects of ENG news coverage, including Sony HD cameras, Edius non-linear editing, ENG lighting, microwave and satellite transmissions, drones & GoPro style cameras.

Overview

Avon is currently seeking a Developmental Editor to develop commercial ideas and edit manuscripts for the Avon A imprint. For this role, the emphasis is on developing original content and editing manuscripts rather than seeking agent submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, edits, and develops commercial projects for the Avon A imprint.

As a Senior Writer/Editor, you will be supporting high-profile health communications projects for NIH. You will be primarily responsible for researching, writing, and editing fact sheets that summarize peer-reviewed scientific research on the safety and effectiveness of dietary supplements, including vitamins, minerals, herbs, and other ingredients. You will work as part of a team and may be partly responsible for writing/editing other web content. In addition, you will perform quality assurance tasks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, write, edit, and update evidence-based information on dietary supplements and their ingredients aimed toward health professionals and consumers
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ year of professional experience writing about and editing nutrition – or dietary supplement-related topics for health care professionals and the general public
  • At least 4 years of demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision

  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
