Day-to-Day:
The Booking Producer is responsible for securing on-air guests for interviews and will report to the head of the booking department as part of the network booking team as well as to the executive producer of the show to which they are assigned. The Booking Producer will be responsible for outreach and vetting of guests and developing and maintaining relationships with guests and guests’ representatives. This position works closely with news, programming, and talent in production. Additional core duties and responsibilities listed below:
•Collaborate with the show’s Executive Producer and team in identifying top-tier guests for broadcast
•Conduct guest research and outreach.
•Support the team in identifying and booking relevant on-air guests for appearances and interviews.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with newsmakers, experts, elected and appointed officials, publicists, press secretaries, communications directors, agents, managers, and celebrities.
•Represent the network as the primary point of contact for guests and their representatives.
•Conduct pre-interviews and guest vetting with potential on-air guests.
•Confirm interview logistics including date, time, and location for on-air appearances via remote, phone, field, or in-studio appearances.
•Provide guests with interview topics and areas of discussion.
•Communicate on-air appearance requirements to guests.
•Secure exclusive interviews and content with newsmaker guests.
•Identify new and emerging voices as subject matter experts.
•Ideate and pitch guest ideas to production team to which they are assigned.
•Ensure the guests are of the caliber and quality consistent with the brand.
•Must be a news junkie and comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional work environment

Requirements
