The successful candidate will be a proven multi-talented shooter and editor with with a reel showcasing attention-grabbing pictures and well-crafted stories. Ideally, you are also a seasoned writer and producer who can help lead a production from start to finish.
Important Notes: Candidates who fail to submit a link to a reel of their relevant work will not receive consideration for this position. There is no relocation reimbursement for this role.
Responsibilities
- Shoot, Edit, Write and Field Produce feature-length pieces for magazine programs and news
- Pre-produce remotes to ensure successful shoots
- Shoot undeniably great pictures that energize and amplify the subject / story
- Generate succinct and engaging copy, yet know how to let pieces truly focus on the people they’re about.
- NOTE: While we produce original content, we also produce news and live events so you will be assigned to those productions from time to time as well.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a videographer and editor at a local affiliate, cable or broadcast network or comparable company.
- Willingness to travel for production roughly 40%-60% of the time.
- Experience writing and producing docuseries or news packages and specials a plus.
- Limitless curiosity and a strong propensity for creative enterprise
- Reel showcasing several individual pieces you have produced, written and shot
