Are you an especially strong on-air promo producer with a great reel, an exceptionally keen eye and superior writing skills? Do you know how to put the snap, crackle and pop into the promos you do? YOU MUST HAVE A REEL AND INCLUDE A LINK TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

Key Duties:

* Create promos of varying lengths and styles – including writing copy, selecting appropriate background video and sound, overseeing recording of narration, finding broll, music cuts and editing the final product.

* Produce promos for news and programming, including recurring content, proof of performance, special from-scratch campaigns, et al

* Using your own creative competencies, ear for sound and eye for picture, coupled with a stellar sense of pacing and graphical sensibilities.

* Write and edit outstanding sizzle reels and other marketing pieces on an ad-hoc basis

Requirements:

* Minimum of 3-years of experience as a highl-performing creator of on-air promotion, including editing

* Demo Reel highlighting promotions work.

* Expreience with Adobe Premiere and other Adobe suite products

* Background in and/or knowledge of agriculture is a plus

Does the idea of periodically traveling to some of this country’s most scenic destinations to tell the story of farming and ranching catch your fancy?

The successful candidate will be a proven multi-talented shooter and editor with with a reel showcasing attention-grabbing pictures and well-crafted stories. Ideally, you are also a seasoned writer and producer who can help lead a production from start to finish.

Important Notes: Candidates who fail to submit a link to a reel of their relevant work will not receive consideration for this position. There is no relocation reimbursement for this role.

Responsibilities

• Shoot, Edit, Write and Field Produce feature-length pieces for magazine programs and news
• Pre-produce remotes to ensure successful shoots
• Shoot undeniably great pictures that energize and amplify the subject / story
• Generate succinct and engaging copy, yet know how to let pieces truly focus on the people they’re about.
• NOTE: While we produce original content, we also produce news and live events so you will be assigned to those productions from time to time as well.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a videographer and editor at a local affiliate, cable or broadcast network or comparable company.
• Willingness to travel for production roughly 40%-60% of the time.
• Experience writing and producing docuseries or news packages and specials a plus.
• Limitless curiosity and a strong propensity for creative enterprise
• Reel showcasing several individual pieces you have produced, written and shot

The Business News Producer will support RFD-TV’s television news coverage of domestic and international markets, developments, and trends in the realm of agriculture. Strong knowledge of both market and production data are required.

If you have a television news background, that’s a plus. You should be able to deliver a well-structured and paced program while staying true to an editorial mission. You should also routinely and effortlessly ensure that all content is delivered on time and at the highest standards.

Key Duties:

• Oversee on-air execution of our agribusiness newscasts, including story selection and organization, scripts, video and graphics
• Oversee all aspects of newscast pre-production, including advance planning and booking of guests (in concert with Segment Producers)
• Support On-Air Markets Editors in preparing their reports and shows throughout the day.
• RFD-TV’s digital strategy is also important to our broadcast product. You should be able to take stories created for broadcast and tailor them to web, app and social media audiences
• Demonstrate exceptional people and communication skills – as you are a bona fide ambassador of RFD-TV

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in news broadcast, agricultural economics, or agricultural communications
• Detailed knowledge of agribusiness and related segments in both the US and international markets
• Thorough understanding of the futures markets, and the ability to work with the data to ferret out and prepare data on trends, supplier and customer impact, etc.
• Strong knowledge of ENPS; knowledge of non-linear desktop video production systems

• Knowledge of CMS and social media programs and strategies a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Journalism/Communications or other related fields a plus
