Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Art directors, Production Designers, Project Managers and Account Teams
- Prepare final digital files adhering to provided specs and technical requirements for print and digital output/upload via FTP site to printer vendors and developers
- Version out existing approved concepts to a variety of sizes and specs for production and upload to printers
- Archive jobs properly on server. Back up files daily.
- Transmit files as necessary for client approvals or to outside vendor(s)
- Communicate status and completion of jobs to Project Managers, Art Directors and Account Teams
- Adhere to strict deadlines
- Ability to work on direct mail, print, digital, presentation decks among other media formats.
- Lead Print Production calls with printers/clients.
Qualifications
In order to effectively perform and communicate, must be knowledgeable, skilled and current in the following software:
- InDesign
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- ProofHQ, but not required
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Microsoft Teams
Must be highly detail oriented and organized.
Degree in graphic arts or equivalent desirable.
Professional Experience and Skills Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in design or other related positions is preferred for the production designer position. Significant course work in graphic design, print production, visual arts or a related field, along with a portfolio and experience that demonstrates clear knowledge of design, may suffice in the absence of a degree.
- Must have a solid knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experienced in Print Production. Working on the Printer side.
- Production position, minimal design, mainly art director’s edits
