Job Description
A Christmas-themed romantic comedy short film titled “Slay Bells” is seeking a DoP/Cinematographer for an upcoming shoot in Downtown Toronto. This opportunity is a strong fit for a cinematographer who can capture warm holiday visuals, clean comedic coverage, and polished storytelling through lighting and camera movement. Reel submissions are being reviewed, and rates are requested as part of consideration.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead cinematography for a narrative short, including shot planning and on-set camera execution

  • Collaborate with the director to achieve a festive rom-com tone and visual style

  • Manage lighting choices and camera setups to support performance and continuity

  • Deliver professional footage capture suitable for post-production workflow

Requirements

  • Experience as a DoP/Cinematographer on narrative projects (short films preferred)

  • Ability to work on location in Downtown Toronto

  • Strong portfolio/reel demonstrating narrative coverage, lighting, and composition

  • Must be able to share rates for the project
