What you’ll be doing
We’re looking for a multimedia Production Designer to join the marketing and brand team. At Group14, designers are makers and storytellers that use design to bring ideas to life. They lead project designs into uncharted creative territories without blinking, extending visual language, while always being mindful of how it looks and how it works within the context of the brand and the needs of the team.
Your job will be to creatively support and art direct, depending on need: email, website, wayfinding, social content, presentation/event decks, video, and more. You’ll support marketing and brand leadership to visually communicate the future of breakthrough advanced battery materials through visual storytelling about Group14 as an innovative leader. We are looking for a candidate who has a strong understanding of storytelling across visual mediums, has deep customer empathy, and understands how to work collaboratively across disciplines with a willingness to roll-up their sleeves and get into the weeds as well as an enthusiasm to contribute creative perspectives and invention.
As a Production Designer, you believe in the power of design as language. You’re energized by solving complex communication challenges with beautiful, on brand, visual solutions. You advocate for the company relentlessly and wield the power of design thinking in everything you do.
At Group14, you’ll work closely with the marketing team and an Art Director to successfully go from brand/communications initiatives to launch and amplification. You’ll bring consistency to and elevate the experience by crafting beautiful designs and imagery to correspond with messaging, narratives, office, and apparel to help us communicate about our company in the most effective way possible across channels.
Who you are
You are a creative designer who can crank out assets and design needs for digital, social, presentation decks, and physical mediums (signage and apparel). You’re responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment.
You demonstrate strong visual design skills and design thinking prowess and will assist and lead the creation of online visual design, typography, visual concept, logos, icons, and other interactive platforms.
You know how to create design boards and identify how to extend a visual language for any given project and can utilize as well as create assets to design all sorts of digital and physical deliverables.
You effectively communicate and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure designs are on brand and in-line with company expectations.
You’re comfortable with ambiguity and have experience navigating it, but you’re also not afraid to ask questions and embrace a growth mindset with compassionate curiosity and ownership.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years’ experience designing across media
- Formal design training
- Previous experience collaborating with creative and/or brand leads
- Proficiency in Mac OS, Figma (or similar) Adobe CS (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.), Google Suite, Microsoft Office
- A portfolio of work and/or work examples that demonstrate the scope of your skills and experience
- Collaborate well with others and understands how to influence with compassion
- Effective collaboration in cross-functional design and product teams

The Seattle Times Content Studio is a division of The Seattle Times that produces branded content (articles, interactives, videos), videos series for advertisers, The Ticket (entertainment/calendar site), brand collateral for clients as well as special sections for The Seattle Times.
We’re looking for a multi-hyphenate Video Producer/Coordinator who is comfortable making social videos, crewing up & coordinating a full shoot and then producing it, and even cutting the occasional short video. You will need to be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced work environment because we always have many different types of projects going at once – from smaller editorial style video projects for The Ticket, to branded content campaigns for mid-size clients, to video series with talent for national brands. Fluency with Premiere is essential. Familiarity with the full Adobe Suite preferred. A production background of some sort is necessary. And an understanding of how to work with clients is also key. A can-do attitude is also key for success in this role. We are a small team with a lot of work and are excited to add this new person to our team to help us expand even more.

Essential Job Functions
- Ideating and producing well-executed video projects for ST Content Studio clients. Owning the whole process from pitch deck to final delivery.
- Producing short form branded and editorial video (incl social: reels, tiktok) for The Ticket, our new entertainment calendar platform/site.
- Going on client meetings, and communicating with clients to sell projects through.
- The organizational chops to be able to PM several projects at once.
- Manage freelance crews/shooters/editors when needed.
- Create project calendars and send out SOWs to clients and freelancers.
- Supervising shoots.
- Setting up shoots in our Seattle Times studio when needed.
- Attaching talent to projects when needed.
Other Duties
- Working with the Creative Director ideating short form and long form video projects.

Job Requirements
- Experience: 2-3 years’ experience as a producer. Familiarity with publishing business preferable. Past work in a production company or creative agency necessary. We are looking for someone who can both supervise shoots, hire crews, make budgets, send out SOWs, manage freelancers and occasionally edit simple pieces.
- Education: Background/degree in video production is desired. a portfolio of video work (or reel) and two references will be necessary.
- You will be working closely with the Creative Director but also be in close contact with others in the Content Studio and the entire Ad Sales staff.
- This position reports to the Creative Director of the STCS, who will provide supervision when needed. This position will be expected to be a self-starter who is able to manage time well.

Creative Producer / Project Manager Job Summary:
We are looking for a Creative Producer / Project Manager to join a global communications firm. This role will be the common thread on creative projects, working closely with account managers, planners, researchers, analysts, designers, copywriters, social media strategists and others. Creative Producers / Project Managers define and monitor scopes, budgets, workplans, milestones and timelines, as well as manage end-to-end production of deliverables.
