  • Job Summary: This role will manage a team of engineers focused on designing and implementing cloud-based solutions to advance our platforms and services that are core components in delivering amazing experiences for Pokémon fans around the world!

What you’ll do

  • Recruit, develop, and retain staff while building a culture of collaboration, data-driven decisions, and continuous learning.
  • Create personalized development plans for members of your team to enable opportunities for growth and new capabilities.
  • Develop relationships with our peer teams to ensure alignment on priorities and effective collaboration on projects.
  • Partner with our technical leads to solve complicated problems, identify and reinforce technical direction, and establish clear priorities.
  • Lead internal projects and initiatives while providing insight into project status and roadmaps.
  • Support your team by handling escalations, unblocking impediments, and managing the teams sprints and backlog.
  • Manage your teams on-call rotation and ensure our high standards for the operability of our services is met.

What you’ll bring

  • Six+ (6+) years of relevant professional experience, plus one (1) year of management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, both as a leader of teams and as a leader of projects – dynamic, strategic and resourceful.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with AWS services.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools and technology such as Perforce, Bitbucket, Terraform, Docker, Chef, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum environment and the ability to lead the teams backlog grooming, planning, and retrospectives.
  • Thorough understanding of the DevOps concepts and culture, with a focus on leveraging software engineering tools, methodologies and concepts.
  • Functional knowledge and experience including but not limited to: Development practices, Information Security principles, Vendor Management, Executive Communications, and Data Analytics.

  • Base salary range: $151,000.00 – $227,000.00. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. It is common for TPCi to start employees below the midpoint of the range. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates’ qualifications and experience uniquely.

  • Job Title: Product Marketing Manager – Organized Play
  • Job Summary: The Product Marketing Manager – Organized Play will work with the Manager, Organized Play and Premier Events Product Marketing to support key strategic marketing initiatives for Organized Play and Play! Pokémon retail at The Pokémon Company International. This position will work together with various key stakeholders and cross-functional teams within TPCi as well as external partner organizations by spearheading communication and marketing campaigns.

What you’ll do

  • Work with the Manager, Organized Play and Premier Events Product Marketing to deliver impactful results through support of key strategic marketing initiatives for Organized Play and Play! Pokémon retail stores.
  • Support OP and Play! Pokémon retail marketing campaigns by being a point of contact between internal TPCi cross-functional teams and external partner organizations.
  • Own GTM strategy for OP and Play! Pokémon retail programs and campaigns.
  • Coordinate with OP and Play! Pokémon retail teams so that the TPCi cross-functional teams are fully informed to conduct aligned marketing activities.
  • Work with OP, Play! Pokémon retail, and cross-functional teams to develop pragmatic processes to support evolving marketing strategies and initiatives on a global scale.
  • Lead communication and execution within TPCi and ensure all teams and stakeholders are properly informed and campaigns launch as planned.
  • Assist in the development and review of creative materials, OP asset management, and product reviews, including internal/external feedback loops and approvals.
  • Assist in the maintenance of marketing calendars, ensuring milestones are up-to-date and communicated to key stakeholders in all partner offices and organizations
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of campaign performance reports, tracking against business and marketing key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Document decisions with meeting notes, following up on action items as required.
  • Know your customers and market so intimately that you define and communicate a clear, differentiated, defensible, and monetizable market position.

What you’ll bring

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of related professional experience in a product or brand marketing function.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience (MBA or equivalent experience preferred).
  • Understanding of TCG Organized Play and specialty retail marketing programs (B2B and B2C) preferred.
  • Prior experience shipping game titles or CPG is a plus.
  • Demonstrated business-related experience in multinational corporations including Japan and the USA.
  • Proven knowledge in defining and executing a short and long term go-to-market strategies.
  • Outstanding communication skills. The ability to work across teams and communicate marketing goals/results at a team, executive, and company level.
  • Ability to adapt to changing deadlines, emerging needs, policy changes, and the variety of nuances that can happen in product development.
  • Ability to operate at a strategic level to define new market opportunities and assess product-market fit but also to work tactically to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Clear thinker and communicator with excellent written and oral communication.
  • Proven problem solver, able to discern the crux of an issue, and use good judgment in recommending practical solutions.
  • Organized and process-oriented with proven ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Experience of working with external partners, particularly international ones.
  • While passion for the Pokémon brand is a plus it is not required, however knowledge of and a willingness to learn more about the brand and Organized Play is a must.

Job Title: Production Designer

Job Summary: The Production Designer will create and deliver completed graphic files of packaging assets, style guides, and assisting with general production design work. Duties converting existing graphics files into foreign language versions and preparing them for print or digital deployment. Other tasks may include retouching and resizing artwork. This is not a creative Graphic Design position, but it will require a high level of detail, technical print knowledge, and ability to match existing designs with precision. The qualified candidate will also be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.

What you’ll do

  • Create print-ready graphics files in multiple languages using industry standard graphics software/applications
  • Ability to adhere to pre-designed templates, style guides, packaging systems, and strict production guidelines
  • Maintain an organized server, file systems, and adhere to consistent file naming conventions
  • Maintain strict attention to detail
  • Meticulous review of proofs from print vendors
  • Keep projects on schedule
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Work with other packaging designers to implement automation
  • Interact with various teams and stakeholders within the company
  • Ability to work overtime if necessary, to meet deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring

  • 2-5 years of experience in typesetting, layout and file preparation for print
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree a plus. Industry experience most desirable
  • Extensive knowledge of print technology and pre-press processes
  • Expert proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite on Mac OS
  • Experience with InDesign Styles, GREP, and data merges
  • Experience with automation or implementation of it
  • Experience with localization, online graphics, or 3D software a plus
  • Ability to navigate MS Word and Excel
  • Note: Ability to speak/write in multiple languages is not required
