Overview: The Art Director is primarily responsible for overseeing Crossway book covers designed out-of-house and children’s books illustrated by outside artists. Responsibilities

  • Art directing book covers designed out-of-house. This involves creating creative briefs for outside designers, art directing projects from concept to completion, making recommendations on materials and finishes, and presenting covers to authors and internal reviewers for approval.
  • Art directing children’s books. This involves concepting and paginating children’s book content, identifying illustrators, working with illustrators and agents to establish schedule and budget parameters, art directing projects from concept to completion, and presenting sketches and final artwork to authors and internal reviewers for approval.
  • Travel and relationship building. The Art Director will be expected to travel periodically with the goal of building and maintaining strong relationships with highly talented individuals and creative agencies.

Requirements

  • A college degree in design and 8-10 years of experience in book publishing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially relating to design principles and deliverables
  • Proficiency in Adobe graphic design applications, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

Our Art Directors are immersed in the heart of our team, working alongside their Copywriter partners and reporting into an Associate Creative Director. Job Description:

New weekly live broadcast production in Los Angeles, seeking the following position(s) to support the broadcast: broadcast engineer, control room operations, technical director and producer. These role(s) will direct and produce live broadcast events for broadcast channels, streaming, social media and collaboration platforms. The individual is responsible for all aspects of producing weekly meetings and events. The role will be part of a team of individuals performing broadcast functions, including technical director, graphics, and studio crew. The individual will be responsible for the overall broadcast product and constructing each events content rundown. Responsibilities / Duties:

· Run broadcast productions, video switcher, cameras, CG, audio, Granicus, uplinks, closed captioning, translation, etc.

· Manage all broadcast systems – routing, feeds, systems, setup and monitoring

· Perform all video editing that is required for each broadcast running live events

· Monitor and ensure live connectivity of Board meeting broadcasts, including distribution to the television Managing all broadcast and related systems

Your Role

The Associate Producer at Jar of Sparks Gaming Studio will play a key role in the development and production of interactive game titles using Unreal Engine. They will work closely with the project team to ensure that development is on schedule, within budget, and of high quality. Overall, the Associate Producer at Jar of Sparks Gaming Studio will be a key member of the development team, and will play a critical role in the success of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for gaming and a proven track record in game development, specifically using Unreal Engine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the project team to establish and maintain development schedules, milestones, and budgets
  • Coordinate the efforts of all team members to ensure successful completion of the project
  • Track and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that arise
  • Assist in the management of external partners and vendors, as needed
  • Help to develop and maintain project documentation, including design documents and production schedules
  • Identify and manage project risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them
  • Help to manage the day-to-day operations of the studio
  • Collaborate with the QA team to ensure the quality of the game is upheld

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in game development, specifically in a producer or associate producer role
  • Strong understanding of game development processes and methodologies
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. game development, project management)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with project management software such as JIRA or Trello
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Understanding of game design and development concepts
  • Strong knowledge of game engine, programming and scripting languages
  • Proficient in Excel and project planning software such as Microsoft Project
  • Experience in multiplayer game development and online systems.
  • Passion for gaming, specifically in the industry of Unreal Engine.
