Overview
The Creative Director is responsible for all creative operations at Imbue to include staff supervision and work production. This position directs the activities of the creative team to maintain the agency’s standards of creative excellence, timeliness, and profitability, while achieving the clients’ goals. They also work with internal and external clients, pitching designs, and understanding client needs.

Responsibilities
- Ensures the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns, and projects to assure earnings, growth, and profit goals are achieved.
- Plans and develops budget recommendations, work goals, measurements, and training requirements necessary to provide both profitable and quality service to clients.
- Working with our account managers, develops budgets, creates proposals, and clearly communicates project deliverables to clients.
- Provides leadership/motivation and conveys the vision and values of the agency to staff.
- Trains and supervises assigned staff of writers, artists, developers, etc.; oversees their execution of all creative efforts to ensure they are on strategy, on budget, and on schedule.
- Develops creative pieces for identified clients.
- ensures the quality and integrity of all creative deliverables including art, copy, and digital experiences.
- Manages the use of outside services including web developers, videographers and other contractors.
- Recommends staffing and compensation changes.
- Assures the staff adheres to established agency policy/procedures.
- Maintains external professional relationships to assure the ongoing availability of specialized expertise, gifted freelancers, and reputable studios/producers when their services are required.
- Participates in the new business efforts as needed.

Required Skills
- Undergraduate degree in Fine Arts, Communications, or related field; or equivalent visual design, marketing, and management experience required
- 10+ years experience working with design, marketing, and advertising
- Expertise with layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography & limitations of the web; must understand digital development and have the ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and develop innovative user experience solutions
- A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, and creative process
- Print and web design capabilities: must know how to work in both media for integrated campaigns
- Ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
- Experience with software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and/or WordPress
- Understanding of printing and direct mail
- Ability to make evaluative judgments
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
