The SCADA & OT Product Manager is responsible for driving product and business development initiatives for the company’s Operational Technology Solutions (OTS) product line.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
• Develop and execute the product roadmap for the OTS organization, in alignment with the company’s overall strategy and objectives.
• Conduct market research to identify customer needs and market trends to ensure the OTS products are relevant, competitive, and commercially viable.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design, develop and launch new products, features, and enhancements.
• Develop pricing strategies and business models for new and existing OTS products.
• Define and monitor product performance metrics, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement.
• Work with business development, marketing, and OTS technical teams to create product messaging, marketing collateral, and training materials.
• Conduct product demos and presentations to customers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Develop partnerships and alliances with other companies in the renewable energy utility space to enhance OTS product offerings.
• Keep abreast of industry developments and competitor activities to ensure the company remains at the forefront of technology and innovation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments.
• Appraise new OTS product ideas and strategize appropriate go-to-market plans.
• Translate OTS product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams.
• Create OTS product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.
• Identify new OTS business opportunities and potential partnerships to expand the company’s market reach and revenue streams.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry associations.
• Lead the OTS negotiation and execution of business agreements and contracts with customers and partners.
• Conduct financial analysis and modeling to evaluate new OTS business opportunities and potential return on investment.
• Collaborate with the business development teams to identify new channels and support the development of business development strategies.
• Develop and manage an OTS sales pipeline to ensure revenue targets are achieved.
• Participate in industry events and conferences to build the company’s brand and promote products and services.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
• Renewable Energy experience in Engineering, Construction, Technology, or related fields
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent years of experience)
• 3-5 years of experience in product management and/or business development
• Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
• Strong knowledge of the Renewable Energy SCADA and OT infrastructure market, including industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
• Proven track record of driving product development and launch initiatives, including market research, product design, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence software preferred.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies and tools is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
