Job Description

A powerful short film titled He is seeking crew members for an upcoming production based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. The film centers on a trans man’s journey toward self-acceptance and explores themes of identity, resilience, and hope.

The production is prioritizing trans and queer crew members; however, all qualified professionals are welcome to submit. The project will film over three days in early April and is currently fundraising.

Job Responsibilities

Assistant Camera (AC)

• Support the Director of Photography

• Maintain and manage camera equipment

• Assist with lens changes, focus pulling, and setup

Key Grip

• Oversee grip department operations

• Set up and adjust rigging and lighting support equipment

• Ensure on-set safety and proper equipment handling

Boom Operator / Sound Mixer

• Capture high-quality production audio

• Operate boom microphone and manage sound recording equipment

• Monitor and adjust audio levels during filming

Requirements

• Prior on-set experience in the respective role

• Ability to work collaboratively in a short film production environment

• Professional equipment knowledge relevant to position

• Availability for a three-day shoot

• Trans and queer crew members encouraged to apply
