Position: Casting Assistant – Entry Level
· In this position, you are required to work with casting directors, talent agents, and production departments to execute film requirements.
· You will work under a project manager to help create the feel and look of performers on film sets and take directions from production.
· Should be flexible with time, based on film schedules.
· Film production experience is an asset, but not required.
· University education.
· Attention to detail, with strong skills in the following programs, will be required:
- Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- GSuite (Google Docs, Slides, Drive)
· You must be a strong multitasker under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently.
· Time management skills are required to maintain a film lifestyle.
· You will be required to understand budgets and familiarize yourself with Excel formulas.
· Must be proficient in the English Language, both written and verbal, applying phone skills, and comfortable cold calling when necessary.
· Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities vary by role and may include production planning, camera operation, audio recording, editing, visual effects creation, location support, lighting setup, music composition, and overall production coordination.
Requirements
- Passion for independent filmmaking and collaborative storytelling.
- Ability to work effectively within a creative team environment.
- Relevant experience for the selected crew position is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to contribute to a zero-budget independent production.
- Availability for production activities in the Greater Toronto Area.
- Portfolio, reel, or previous experience is considered an asset where applicable.
