Job Description
A national public service announcement for Kids Help Phone is casting teens and youth across Canada to portray powerful, emotionally resonant roles. This campaign focuses on real stories and lived experiences, spotlighting strength, vulnerability, and hope. The production team is specifically seeking Indigenous, Trans, Non-Binary, Queer youth, and individuals with disabilities. All talent must be able to convey layered emotion through subtle expressions and movement.
Job Responsibilities

Portray key roles in a high-impact PSA with sensitivity and authenticity

Express nuanced emotion through minimal dialogue or silent action

Attend casting callbacks, fittings, and full-day shoot

Work with a professional team to bring awareness to mental health support
Requirements

Age range: 10–21

Must be available for both shoot days

Must represent one or more of the following communities: Indigenous, Trans, Non-Binary, LGBTQ+, or living with disabilities

Casting the following roles:

Diary Hero: Non-binary teen (12–16), capable of handwriting and expressing anxiety

Blurred Hero: Transgender female (appears 17–18), comfortable applying makeup on camera

Fighter Hero: Trans male or non-binary (appears 17–21), must be able to throw a punch and portray injury

Game Hero: Indigenous male (appears 10–16)

Cast Hero: All genders (ages 10–20) with visible disability

Dance Hero: 2SLGBTQ+ male (appears 17–18), any ethnicity

Job Description
Seeking a charismatic, camera-friendly host to engage with contestants, conduct backstage interviews, and bring a fun, high-energy presence to the show. The ideal candidate is confident on-camera, has strong improvisation skills, and enjoys interacting with teens and young audiences.
Job Responsibilities
- Co-host the Backstage Zone segment of the game show
- Conduct fun and engaging interviews with contestants
- Bring high energy and excitement to on-camera hosting segments
- Work closely with the production team and follow show format
- Travel across Canada for game show tour stops
Requirements
- Open to all genders, ages 20-30
- Must be comfortable on camera and engaging with a live audience
- Strong background in comedy, improv, or interviewing experience preferred
- Must be good with kids and teens
- Must be an Ontario resident (paying taxes in Ontario for 2024) and a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
Compensation
- $400-$500 per shoot day
- $200 per travel day
