Job Description

A paid docu-drama series is casting authentic jazz musicians to appear in a scene set in a jazz bar in the Greater Toronto Area. Casting directors are seeking talented performers to portray a jazz quartet, with close-up shots focusing on musicians and their instruments. Existing jazz bands and quartets are encouraged to apply for this unique on-camera opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform as part of a jazz quartet in a docu-drama series.
• Portray authentic jazz musicians in a jazz bar setting.
• Follow direction from the production team during filming.
• Perform naturally for close-up camera shots featuring instruments and hand movements.

Requirements

• Jazz musicians with authentic performance experience.
• Solo musicians and established jazz bands or quartets are welcome to apply.
• Must be available to work in the Greater Toronto Area.
• Comfortable performing on camera in a non-union production.

Compensation

• $600.
