Job Summary:
The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for the execution of the core business strategies of the retail marketing team. This role will define and refine the product offering across all retail categories. This role will also support key sales opportunities through the development of fact-based selling stories using secondary and custom research, and execution of promotional programs for key retail accounts. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional partners, and the ability to lead multiple project teams concurrently. This role will support all Butterball categories with leadership of the retail deli business, and reports to the Director of Retail Marketing.
Essential Functions:
- Lead and collaborate with R&D and other cross functional teams on the development of line extensions and continuous improvement of current items.
- Support branding efforts such that all consumer and trade communications reinforce the brand’s positioning.
- Work with Brand Managers to develop marketing plans for key accounts to drive trial and awareness and support the execution of those plans.
- Evaluate syndicated data monthly and understand the implications of trends against strategies.
- Evaluate marketing plan effectiveness: program tracking, sales impact and next-step action plans.
- Manage packaging development process for product offerings, ensure all products are designed to brand standard and consistently live up to the brand.
- Manage A&P budget.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to drive initiatives that align with corporate growth strategies and Butterball’s brand equities.
- Synthesize many separate pieces of information to draw conclusions and make recommendations that drive new projects through the organization.
- Familiarity with business analysis and management.
- Ability to analyze data (experience with IRI, preferred) to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
- Strong Excel skills are required
- Capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints and within budget parameters.
- Experience building professional presentations. They will attend sales calls and present directly to Butterball leadership and ownership. Strong PowerPoint skills are required
- Familiarity with commonly used consumer research methodologies and able to draw conclusions from research and translate learnings into successful new initiatives.
- Proven competency to manage category budgets to wisely invest the funds, maximizing returns.
- Advocating new initiatives through the organization, achieving buy-in necessary to get full organizational support both inside and outside of the organization.
- Ability to travel overnight up to 10 percent of the time.
Education and Experience:
- Relevant undergraduate degree (marketing, media communications, business, sciences) with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Will consider longer tenure of relevant experience without degree.
- Experience in a consumer-packaged goods marketing, marketing analytics or project management role or related capacity preferred

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Videographer/Editor position requires skills in a high-volume production environment specializing in the final storytelling of a project. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the filming and editing process for company video projects. This position requires a diverse knowledge of industry standard types of cameras and production equipment along with basic Avid editing skills. They will work closely with the Producers, Videographers and Editors on staff to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest technical and aesthetic standards. They are responsible for maintaining the company’s production assets and working with the department production calendar so that equipment is ready for each project.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support production staff with variety of projects using production gear including various models of cameras, lenses, tripods, and other gear related to shooting.
- Work with Production team to build sets for production needs.
- Assist with general duties.
- Maintaining production equipment before and after projects.
- Coordinate the tracking of all production assets.
- Assist with research and ordering of equipment.
- Support with reporting and tracking maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
- Ingest media into company’s archiving system and prepare media for Editors.
- Log footage and edit basic to intermediate level projects.
- Operate additional cameras as needed for production needs including live events.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Minimum college or trade school experience in production or similar field..
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical field experience working in multiple aspects of film and video production.
- Color grading at intermediate level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Thorough understanding of fishing, hunting, and other outdoor skills as required to best work with production team in outdoor recreation company.
- Strong work ethic. Outgoing personality with ability to interact within group of creative individuals in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Willingness to react with short notice to changes in daily routine.
- Willing to travel as required – often locations require extensive driving and multiple night stays with early and late hours.
- Strong communication skills – able to understand direction and make themselves understood when communicating objectives for accomplishing story lines or goals of a production.
- Thorough knowledge of Avid non-linear editing systems, specifically the Avid Media Composer or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of various codecs, containers and file types used in today’s media environment.
- Able to work within a team environment including in the field or studio and in the post process, editing and finishing.
- Able to lift and carry heavy equipment in variety of terrain and conditions from very hot to very cold.
- Good driving record, able to secure Missouri Operator’s License Class E.
- Good organizational skills: able to keep multiple projects balanced at any one time
- Strong video resume required. This resume should demonstrate samples from all of the areas mentioned above.
