Manager of the creative direction of Catering by Design which includes design, décor, and culinary innovation.
Required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Proven to have experience in the field of innovation and design
- Significant understanding of the event design industry
- Minimum 3 years of proven successful experience in a comparable capacity in the event design industry
- Willingness to commit to an average work week of 50+ hours, which may require weekend and evening hours

Preferred:
- Experience in an event company with creativity as a primary aspect

Management:
- Sit on Senior Leadership Director’s Team and participate in the weekly management meetings
- Lead and manage Creative Designer, Décor Production Manager, and Floral department
- Manage the creative structure of Catering by design, including décor and menu collaboration
- Creative training for Event Designers and Event Managers on buffets and presentation
- Work with the operations team to ensure that build projects meet the specifications and expectations of clients
- Along with the Creative Designer, manage the onsite décor team to ensure that all décor production is installed and de-installed per the specifications
- Accountable for all décor budget line-item expenses and profitability
Marketing:
- Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing & Graphic Designer to determine collateral needs & website revisions
- Along with Creative Designer, develop décor sell sheets, which will allow the sales team to promote the creative brand
- Plan and assist with marketing events to promote catering and décor brands
- Research industry trends and implements them into creative design
- Research the competition and work with the Director of Sales and Marketing to ensure that Catering by Design fulfills the vision of the company to be a leading creative catering and décor company recognized for innovation and excellence
Work with Executive Chef on menu development: Seasonal menus
- Holiday menu
- Custom menus
- New concepts
Sales:
Increase the Décor brand sales through:
- Education of the event design/sales team on how to include elements of the creative brand on all events
- Education of the event design/sales team on how to sell the Décor Brand
- Along with the Creative Designer, consult with the event design/sales team on Décor proposals
- Develop strategic alliances with vendor partners
Inventory:
- Determine furniture and décor needs for the Décor brand
- Along with the Creative Designer and in-house carpenter, determine items to be built in house
- Determine appropriate cost calculator and market price
- Documenting Inventory & expanding inventory based on rental needs
- Enter inventory into the company software system with photo documentation
- Manage inventory/replace inventory
- Work with the General Manager of Operations and Warehouse Manager to remove and replace items

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Videographer/Editor position requires skills in a high-volume production environment specializing in the final storytelling of a project. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the filming and editing process for company video projects. This position requires a diverse knowledge of industry standard types of cameras and production equipment along with basic Avid editing skills. They will work closely with the Producers, Videographers and Editors on staff to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest technical and aesthetic standards. - Support production staff with variety of projects using production gear including various models of cameras, lenses, tripods, and other gear related to shooting.

- Maintaining production equipment before and after projects.
- Coordinate the tracking of all production assets.
- Assist with research and ordering of equipment.
- Support with reporting and tracking maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
- Ingest media into company’s archiving system and prepare media for Editors.
- Log footage and edit basic to intermediate level projects.
- Operate additional cameras as needed for production needs including live events.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Minimum college or trade school experience in production or similar field..
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical field experience working in multiple aspects of film and video production.
- Color grading at intermediate level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Thorough understanding of fishing, hunting, and other outdoor skills as required to best work with production team in outdoor recreation company.
- Strong work ethic. Outgoing personality with ability to interact within group of creative individuals in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Willingness to react with short notice to changes in daily routine.
- Willing to travel as required – often locations require extensive driving and multiple night stays with early and late hours.
- Strong communication skills – able to understand direction and make themselves understood when communicating objectives for accomplishing story lines or goals of a production.
- Thorough knowledge of Avid non-linear editing systems, specifically the Avid Media Composer or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of various codecs, containers and file types used in today’s media environment.
- Able to work within a team environment including in the field or studio and in the post process, editing and finishing.
- Able to lift and carry heavy equipment in variety of terrain and conditions from very hot to very cold.
- Good driving record, able to secure Missouri Operator’s License Class E.
- Good organizational skills: able to keep multiple projects balanced at any one time
- Strong video resume required. This resume should demonstrate samples from all of the areas mentioned above.
