ABOUT THIS ROLE
VVK PR + Creative is looking for a Senior Video Producer to join the creative production department who will report directly to the VP of Creative Production.
This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone with five or more years of producing high quality video content and handling projects from concept to completion. The Senior Video Producer will work closely with the six-person (and growing) video production team and engage with the public relations department and leadership to ensure alignment across business objectives.
Creativity is key for this position. We produce broadcast commercials, digital marketing content, and even episodic stories and we need someone who will push the envelope of great storytelling, effective project management and creativity.

What We Are Looking For
The Senior Producer will have the unique opportunity to work on the first-ever, audio-only singing competition series alongside a team of seasoned television and audio professionals. Responsibilities & Duties
- Produce episodes from initial idea to final draft, building episode scripts and audio sessions, while maintaining season arc and consistency across the series
- Ensure seamless communication between internal and external production partners including contractors, AWM staff, and network executives throughout all stages of production
- Collaborate with Co-Executive Producer and Music Director to plan recording schedule including interviews, music sessions, and more; ensure appropriate recording set-up for quality tapings
- Manage assets and paperwork related to production, including scripts, timelines, and talent agreements; create production documents including call sheets, sides, etc.
- Prep podcast host and talent for recording sessions (song choices, challenge, recaps, etc) while demonstrating high level of professionalism in working with celebrity talent
- Lead contestant, host, and talent recording sessions with a deep understanding of remote audio technology and software
- Support on-site producers in capturing “day in the life” audio with contestants
- Source additional field tape, archival assets, and audio elements such as sound effects or music stems in partnership with post-production team

The Producer will be responsible for facilitating the production of diverse, successful slates of content primarily for digital and social platforms including YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.

What you’ll do
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop and create compelling, innovative pre-recorded and livestreamed content primarily for digital first and social platforms.
- Contribute to series development through research, building pitch decks, script writing and editing.
- Project ownership from initial concept through final delivery:
- Content ideation and pitch process
- Project scope and budget creation
- Source, vet and hire production crews
- Create workback schedules, and ensure that budget, schedules, deliveries, and feedback stay on track throughout the life of the project
- Communicate project objectives to internal stakeholders, external vendors, and video editorial teams
- Manage and oversee the review process from script through final post deliverables
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, balancing the needs of internal sponsors with the overall look and feel of Pokémon studio content.
- Work closely with the social, PR and Marketing teams to ensure formats, hooks, and run of show align with Pokémon brand voice.
- Manage localization of content into non-English languages, placing orders, collaborating with language teams, and driving continuous improvement to process and product.
- Track content performance, working with stakeholders to optimize for audience impact.
What you’ll bring
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of related professional experience.
- Bachelors degree required.
- Knowledge of the digital video content landscape – including what makes for successful programming.
- Experience producing short form and social content, specifically YouTube and/or TikTok.
- Thorough understanding of the production process, including post-production workflows.
- Experience creating pitch decks, pre-production books and shot lists.
- Knowledge of industry standards and union guidelines.
- Relevant and adequate experience in video/content production management experience including managing timelines, budgets and contracts for several ongoing creative projects.
- Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
- Meticulous project organization and attention to detail.
- Pokémon games/brand and animation and video editorial skills a plus.
- Experience managing the process of localization of video content into E-FIGS, LAS, BPO preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize while juggling multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent teamwork and problem solving skills.
- Experience with creative development, ideation and brainstorming.

Responsibilities :
- Leads editorial planning, production and strategy for 30 for 30 Podcasts
- Articulates vision and sets agenda for short and long-range editorial calendar and planning.
- Lead editor on all 30 for 30 Podcast series/episodes
- Manage internal production team, and also external production partners working on all 30 for 30 Podcasts
- Conducts weekly staff meetings and will create/maintain editorial workflow systems, both within the team and within ESPN.
- Develops relationships throughout ESPN with other key stakeholders and divisions, including: sales, marketing, PR and high level producers representing all platforms around the company.
- Ensures highest-quality production standards.
- Collaborates on budget development and implements approved budget for program, making changes as necessary to meet financial goals.
- Cultivates relationships with prospective talent and partners.
- Assists in the recruitment and development of production and editorial talent.
- Coaches host, reporters, producers and editors to strengthen conversational storytelling skills.
- Coordinates aspects of production, post-production, and program distribution.
- Works with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for the podcasts, as well as ensuring placement and execution of relevant promotion
- Contributes ideas for sales opportunities.
- Coordinates with marketing team around key events, from planning to execution of regular promotion for the show on internal platforms (TV/Radio) as well as with external distribution partners (Apple, Google, etc).
- Collaborates on the integration, optimization and awards recognition for 30 for 30 audio initiatives.
Basic Qualifications :
- Minimum of 6 years of radio/audio production with experience as editorial leader and creative writer / storyteller / producer.
- Deep passion and knowledge in long form sports podcasting/audio.
- Extensive knowledge of podcasting and digital audio industry.
- Experience in team management.
- Demonstrated digital editing expertise using ProTools audio editing software.
- Curiosity; interest in sports, long form storytelling, and beyond.
- Smart conversationalist with outstanding interview skills.
- Strong journalistic and editorial instincts; exceptional writing ability.
- Thorough understanding of how to operate audio hardware, software and facilities.
- Knowledge and/or understanding of digital listening trends.
