Content Marketing is among the most exciting and in-demand areas of the fast-growing, ever-evolving media landscape. Here is an opportunity to explore your potential in the space, working with the Alternator team at Omnicom Media Group Canada.
ABOUT ALTERNATOR
Alternator is the content solutions division of Omnicom Media Group Canada. For the last 7 years, we have been bridging the gap between our clients’ need for new and inventive ways of connecting with customers and the platforms and technologies that will get them there.
Alternator is the creative-led content division of Omnicom Media Group (OMG) Canada. Working with our agencies (Hearts&Science, OMD, PHD and Touché), we are a specialized group, offering subject matter expertise, content strategy, creative ideation, contract development, production resources and management, delivery and reporting for media-based brand content integrations. We are an on-demand resource, who become part of agency teams to help them bring big ideas and flawless execution to their clients.
We have three main areas of focus: Influencer Program development and deployment, Branded Content Integrations (working with media partners), as well as production (editorial, video, digital).
DO YOU FIT THE PART?
We are looking for the right person to join our small but mighty team as an Associate Producer.
So, what does that mean?
It means that you have some experience under your belt – perhaps you’ve worked at a media agency and you’re looking to focus on this area; maybe you’ve worked with influencers or you’re a couple of years in at an Ad or PR agency having developed a passion for creating brand integrations and experiences; or perhaps you’ve worked on the production side and are drawn to the process of being a “maker”. The content space is an exciting and ever-expanding growth area in marketing and our business overall.
The role we’re looking to fill will have a specific focus on the influencer/creator area and will involve partnering with our Producers and working with client teams at both our Toronto and Vancouver offices. You’ll have day to day interface with client teams, as well as ongoing work with our teams in Canada and the U.S.
You’ll also have a chance to be a part of new business development for Alternator, in addition to acting as a supporting member for our agency partners.
It’s exciting stuff, and like most things in media, the only constant is change. You’ll be in the middle of it, so you’ll need to summon your entrepreneurial spirit and be a fast-footed, proactive team member. You rarely wait to be told what to do, preferring to “own” your assignments, and when time permits, you’re a true student of our business, reading up and sharing learnings to make us all better.
You won’t be alone. Alternator is a super tight-knit team, and you’ll be working closely with our two Producers and your Managing Director who are always just a call or text away. You’ll have your autonomy too; we work together to show the way and we’ll give you the support and direction you need to succeed and grow your career with us, as we continue to grow.
We don’t punch the clock – the business never sleeps, and we do cross a few time zones, but we are keenly focused on work-life balance (we mean it!). Omnicom Media Group is a great place to work, with extended long weekends in the summer, unlimited wellness days and a holiday shut down at the end of the year, in addition to a great benefits plan.
Required Experience:
- 2-5 years of work experience in the media/advertising space
- Experience with influencer marketing is an asset
- Passion for creating brand integrations and experiences
Diversity & Inclusion:
Omnicom Media Group Canada is committed to having a workplace that respects diversity and inclusion as reflected in the various designated groups. This respect must be demonstrated by our team members, our leadership, our client services and within our employment practices and relationships with all stakeholders.
