Job Description

A dramatic short film titled “Forwards” is casting leading and supporting roles for an upcoming student/independent production. This character-driven story centers on an 18-year-old former star lacrosse player navigating depression and personal setbacks after a career-ending injury.

The production is seeking strong, emotionally grounded performers capable of delivering authentic and layered performances. Both ACTRA and Non-Union actors are encouraged to submit.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray a leading or supporting character in a dramatic short film

  • Deliver emotionally compelling and nuanced performances

  • Collaborate with the director and creative team throughout rehearsals and filming

  • Participate in scheduled production days in the Toronto area

Requirements

  • ACTRA or Non-Union performers

  • Strong dramatic acting ability

  • Ability to portray emotionally complex characters

  • Reliable availability for up to three production days

  • Must be able to work in Toronto
