Job Overview

The Creative Director reports to Vice President of Marketing, and will leverage an understanding of our target customers, the market, and the uniqueness of the LandVest and Christie’s International Real Estate brands to bring a compelling and distinct look, feel and experience to life across our marketing plan, social and digital content, and in all media executions.

The Creative Director will oversee a team of designers and staff, plus own a network of freelancers and contractors. As the lead for all creative developed within LandVest, the Creative Director will set the tone and oversee creative direction of our marketing social media, content, and digital work. The Creative Director will be instrumental is working with LandVest leadership on establishing the future direction of the brand and will serve as an evangelist for our identity and voice, ensuring that creative across our company works to represent our brand in a unified and effective way. Strengths in copywriting and project management skillsets are required.

The Creative Director position is remote but occasional travel to Boston and other satellite offices will be required. Experience with and a portfolio showcasing a background in luxury is preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the in-house creative team taking ownership of the LandVest creative department and associated processes.
  • Lead the creative team to deliver world-class creative and content across all collateral (both production and brand) and advertising touchpoints including print, mailings, digital media, video, advertising, email, website and more.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of marketing and senior leadership on the development and deployment of the LandVest brand.
  • Mentor and encourage creative team members to foster a positive work environment and facilitate learning, growth, and upskilling.
  • Take ownership of our creative and project management tools and processes across the organization to drive efficiency by optimizing processes & workflows.
  • Assist in the development of thought leadership content and social media content in partnership with the brokerage, timberland, and consulting divisions.
  • Contribute to budget discussions, manage spends and contractors.
  • Ensure the team is optimized to deliver effective and impactful creative and copy.
  • Collaborate on the design and launch of new office locations as necessary.
  • Play a key role in annual & quarterly strategic planning process.
  • Education level: Bachelor’s Degree in design or equivalent and above.
  • 10+ years of proven design experience including 5+ years of experience overseeing creative teams.
  • Highly collaborative with a strong client-service oriented ethos.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with a variety of software programs, such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Flash.
  • Knowledge of how to develop brand identities through multi-channel marketing.
  • Good comfort level interacting with high-profile clients and industry professionals.
  • Recent hands-on experience with applying design, copy, video, and web best practices.
  • Professional business skills, such as presentation, negotiation, project management, and leadership.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the oversight of the Sr. Manager, Segment Strategy-Products; assists in leading the development of all assigned theme park attraction launches, marquee events, and add-on experiences with marketing input that supports the broader short and long-term marketing strategy for Universal Orlando. Partners collaboratively in developing marketing plans designed to appeal to targeted audiences, engage those audiences, induce trial by those audiences and compel repeat visitation from those audiences as loyal guests.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Destination Support – Business Performance: Responsible for maximizing attendance, APV, and repeat visitation through fact-based analytics. Meet/exceed performance goals for theme park initiatives. Continuously improve performance of existing initiatives.
  • Implementation Leadership: Collaborate by seeking and leveraging partner input in the development of strategic direction for theme park initiatives. Ensure alignment with Segment leaders, Cross Functional Segment Experiences Team, Insights, Licensed Partners, Product Development and Pricing. Ensures flawless go to market execution of all assigned initiatives. Marketing point of contact for key partners: Operations, Revenue Operations, Entertainment, and Universal Creative. Proactively publish performance “Points of View” and proactive course correction recommendations as necessary. Expected to proactively and continuously drive efficiency and productivity improvements in the product marketing workflow process. May also be assigned to serve as the Marketing Owner/Lead of a cross-functional team. May be assigned to lead direct reports, contract employees, and/or interns in the future based on business needs.
  • Destination Support – Development: Identify new concepts to drive sales and/or profitability growth. Provide POV on new attraction, event, and add-on experience opportunities for marketability, guest appeal, and park brand fit.
  • Destination Support – Brand Strategy and Planning: Establish Universal theme parks as can’t miss destination experiences with a significant competitive advantage in the marketplace. Ensure all communications are consistent with the Universal brand. Provides annual planning input as subject matter product expert. May also be responsible for resort-wide communications strategy, product messaging hierarchy and multi-park messaging.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree Marketing or Communications required; MBA preferred.

What You’ll Do:

To provide financial and accounting support to the production team and UK Finance Manager. Providing detailed weekly cost report information to the client and participating in month-end close process.

This is a “sleeves up” role for someone who enjoys getting fully involved in a role and working as part of a busy team.

  • Ensuring that all production costs are correctly recharged to relevant projects.

What You’ll Do:

Conflicts: Any competing theme parks with marketing and promotion (commercial, print, social media, etc.) currently running. 
Usage / Run: Intended use is for paid social + streaming videos + display + search + email for Spring and Mother’s Day 2023, but the release will be standard Disney release (all media, worldwide, in perpetuity)

Additional Provisions
Shoots in Orlando. Mandatory in-person fitting in Orlando for $100 per person. All talent MUST work as local hire to Disney (not budgeted for gas, food, lodging), though we will feed talent on set.

NOTE: This WILL be an overnight shoot (late, late night call time…working past midnight and into early next morning. Expect up to 12 hours on set.

– 25 to 35 years old;

– Average to athletic build, but you don’t have to be in shape. 

Talent must be comfortable showing their stomach, arms, and shoulders. Looking for people with STRONG improv and 
comedic acting skills. Our “mermaid” is confident, friendly, and knowledgeable. She is quirky & charming, but when it comes to donor myths; she doesn’t tolerate nonsense.

Comedic types like Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, and Maya Rudolph.
