Special Events Signature Character

We are looking for actors to play the role of our Signature Princess Character for our annual Special Events. The SP – Standardized Patient will “act” like a patient in the simulation lab while interacting with healthcare students, following a script with specific behaviors meant to portray specific medical issues.
The working environment is in a clinical setting. SP’s must work independently, consistently and accurately in order to portray specific emotions, behaviors and disease symptoms while interacting with students in the health care field during simulated patient encounters. These encounters are designed to enable experiential learning and/or assessment of students’ skills. Assesses student behaviors using standardized measurement tools provided by course lead instructor, and participates in group training and/or mentorship of entry-level standardized patients. Works varied hours on an on-call basis, as needed.
