PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Director of Event Production provides leadership, direction, and management for all departments related to the production of live events, event day services special event operations, and all technical services provided by the T-Mobile Arena. The Director of Event Production ensures all activities performed within the reporting departments are in accordance with the company’s business objectives, budget guidelines, mission statement, and core service standards.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the Executive Director / Assistant General Manager and Corporate Entertainment team in the development and implementation of the strategic plan and vision for the T-Mobile Arena consistent with MGM Resort International objectives;
  • Provides leadership in the development and monitoring of division operations, fiscal budgets, and marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability for T-Mobile Arena;
  • Provides leadership and operational direction for the Event Services, Conversion, ICE Operationbs, Event Services, Technical/Production departments within the T-Mobile Arena;
  • Executes all technical advances with touring production personnel for concerts, televised events, sporting events, and any other public events in the Arena;
  • Manages production walk-throughs and technical advances with corporate clients for private events;
  • Serves as a production liaison with property and corporate sales entities to ensure optimal experiences are delivered to internal and external clients;
  • Provides leadership and direction to ensure all events are produced in an efficient and timely manner while ensuring procedures are in place to maintain security, safety and enjoyment of clients, guests and employees on a daily and event basis;
  • Collaborates with the Executive Director / AGM T-Mobile Arena with the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new venues, products, services, technology, and processes to ensure the T-Mobile Arena’s competitive position in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality/entertainment environment. Develops new techniques of service focused on quality, maximum event promoter/producer satisfaction, and profitability;
  • Selects, contracts with, and monitors work of qualified professionals and vendors for the various outsourced operations and equipment suppliers;
  • Develops operational and capital budgets for all technical equipment and event services used to produce live events;
  • Develops effective working relationships with local fire and police departments and other government agencies;
  • Provides leadership for the division’s human resources responsibilities to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment;
  • Ensures all reporting arena policies, procedures, and practices are consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes;

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 21+ years of age
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in written form
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in event related technical and operations management of large-scale events (5,000+).
  • Minimum 1-year supervisory experience in Arena operations
  • Extensive knowledge of Computer Assisted Drawing (CAD) programs
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook at an executive level
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Previous Experience in Ice Related Equipment / Dasher Systems / ICE resurfercer’s
  • Forklift operation experience

PREFERRED:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent Technical Certification
  • Ice maintenance experience
  • Ice rink related environment

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must possess a valid Nevada Driver’s license for the performance of required company related travel.
  • Forklift certification
  • Proof of eligbility to work in the United States

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have the ability to pay attention to detail and have strong interpersonal skills to handle clients, employees, and interdepartmental relationships.
  • Extensive knowledge in the areas of Rigging, entertainment lighting, sound, set design and construction in hotel/casino environment preferred
  • Completion of an accredited rigging school or related experience
  • Apprenticeship in lighting, sound, video, carpentry, or set design
  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Knowledge and experience in operating and maintaining forklifts, articulating boom lifts, man-lifts and scissor lifts
  • Extensive working knowledge of Life Safety standards and NFPA Codes for public assemblies and ADA Federal and State regulations
  • Extensive knowledge of public seating, egress, seating aisles, occupancy levels, emergency exiting, pyrotechnics and flammability as it pertains to public assembly safety
  • Extensive knowledge in financial accounting regarding events pro forma, event pricing/cost estimates/billing, and price level computation/impact

  • Must be able to match and control financial expenditures to meet event pro forma

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

  • Degree in Photography, Media, Design, Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Business Management or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years professional industry experience producing in a high-end, high-volume photography studio for retail advertising,
  • catalog, or other commercial photography
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to meet deadlines
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude towards work
  • An understanding of both technical and creative processes
  • Demonstrated organizational skills

Responsibilities:

The Senior Executive Producer, “This Week” will provide creative oversight, management and editorial leadership for “This Week with George Stephanopoulos”. The Senior EP:

  • Oversees and directs the execution of “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” including “This Week” produced special programming on Hulu and ABC News Live.
  • Works closely with the “This Week” team and the ABC News Washington Bureau to expand the “This Week” brand across new platforms and opportunities.

What We Need

Our Production Assistants are the foot soldiers of our studio, performing vital tasks both small and large onset and in the offices. Your duties may involve anything from office administration to crowd control, setting up catering, and troubleshooting call sheets. We are seeking an individual who not only has a passion for film production and video games but who excels in the areas of communication and organization, showing patience under pressure. The work is usually extremely varied and provides a good entry-level role in the video game and entertainment industry.

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Greet visitors to the studio and lead the check-in process including PicPatching phones, mastering our Envoy system, and providing tours
  • Coordinate crew contracts and contract storage for the Operations Manager, Payroll, and HR
  • Handle incoming and outgoing packages and shipments, occasionally acting as a courier
  • Assist other team members with shoot setups, scene changes, and set teardowns
  • Supervise audio during shoot days, and be confident calling for quiet onset
  • Be the point of contact between the stage and offices
  • Provide administrative support to all mocap’s internal departments
  • Manage general studio upkeep
  • Coordinate with caterers and other service providers
  • Participate in pre-production meetings, taking detailed minutes
  • Keep the studio in tip-top shape, neat, inviting, and clean
  • Participate in cross-training with the Post and Stage teams
  • Use your film experience to act as Camera Operator or Grip on shoot days as needed

  • Extensive previous experience as a production assistant on film sets

  • Good organization abilities, preferably with project coordination experience. Very willing to take on a wide range of tasks and duties

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and proactively problem solve in order to anticipate and meet requests

  • Photoshop and Illustrator skills and knowledge of FTP client programs a plus

Project Management

  • Lead internal and client-facing meetings, including setting agendas, speaking to campaign progress, on-the-fly strategy & problem solving, and preparing summaries/recaps
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with clients across a variety of mediums, including email, phone, in-person and slides (Keynote).

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years client-facing production or influencer marketing experience (in relevant marketing/advertising industry or similar)
  • A proven ability to deliver influencer partnerships across a breadth of social media platforms and content formats
  • Experience managing a colleague and/or their workload
  • Exceptional client services skills, including verbal, written and presentation communication abilities
  • Exceptional organizational, project management and time management skills and an ability to manage multiple deadlines at once
  • An ability and willingness to deeply understand the needs, motivations and aspirations of our clients and influencers and translate that understanding into impactful content
  • Ability to work autonomously with little oversight, as well as strong ability to successfully work cross-functionally to ensure contributions from multiple stakeholders across disciplines are woven into the project work seamlessly
  • Ability to work across 5+ strategic client projects at a time

Film & TV Internship

Hello Sunshine is a media brand and content company dedicated to female authorship and storytelling across all platforms. Hello Sunshine is producing feature films, television shows as well as unscripted series, audio storytelling and social series under the Hello Sunshine brand. It is also the home for Reese’s Book Club, a fast-growing social book club in reach and influence. All of Hello Sunshine’s efforts are anchored by a singular mission: to change the narrative for women.

Hello Sunshine, is looking for interns to work with our Scripted Film/TV team this Spring Semester. Interns will assist the Scripted Film/TV department who oversee the development and production of Reese Witherspoon’s projects.

All internships are specific to Los Angeles, California and are hybrid in our office and working from home.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in reading and provide script coverage
  • Answer phones and assist the executives with various research projects and desk coverage
  • Designed to provide interested students with a hands-on experience in the entertainment industry.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous Film and TV internships are recommended
  • We are looking for smart, driven interns who are eager to learn more.
  • Applicants should have keen attention to detail, can-do attitude, and the ability to multitask.

What You Bring:

  • Strategy: Provide strategic guidance to clients and team members on an ongoing basis – your input is expected to be founded in data, research, and a keen understanding of the cultural moment.
  • Prioritize: Set account priorities and communicate them accurately and efficiently to team members
  • Analysis: Work to define and analyze target markets and know how to position your clients to create a unique product identity.
  • Execute: Develop, deliver and lead strategic client programs and initiatives. You must be an innovative thinker and set the standard for creativity in your division, with ideas that you personally can set into motion using your own industry connections and credibility.
  • Client Correspondence: You are the first point of contact for the clients in your division, therefore serving as both the mouthpiece and the ear for your teams. You’ll be expected to absorb both praise and criticism, and filter it to your reports through actionable steps.
