We are looking for an experienced board-certified music therapist to serve on an interdisciplinary clinical research team in the inpatient/acute hospital setting at Boston Medical Center.  Our research program is focused on the prevention and treatment of hospital-acquired delirium in older adults. The primary patient focus will be on patients with neurological conditions, specifically Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The music therapist will be helping design intervention protocols and administering music therapy sessions to hospitalized patients with neurological disorders.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Work collaboratively with neurologists, physicians from other specialties, nurses and other hospital healthcare workers, patients and their families, and medical student and neurology residents in this research program.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in various diagnoses related to neurological disease
  • Demonstrate knowledge in various clinical presentations resulting from a neurologic injury or disease (i.e. aphasia, neglect, gait deficits, cognitive impairment and behavioral disturbances).
  • Contribute to the development of a targeted intervention for hospital-acquired delirium in patients with neurodegenerative diseases. This intervention is being developed in coordination with other consulting music therapists at other study sites, and the Boston Medical Center MT will join this dynamic team.
  • Deliver MT sessions to hospitalized patients. These sessions will be personalized and culturally sensitive in our diverse patient population. It will be critical to adjust approaches based on in-the-moment responses and to adapt music therapy interventions to suit the patient’s unique needs and abilities.
  • Plan, evaluate, and document MT sessions based on various theory of music and mechanism-focused frameworks.
  • Strategize with the research team in order to identify and troubleshoot barriers to the music therapy delivery and related research protocols.

Overview of the internships

 

We have multiple Social Media Marketing internship opportunities available. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for all internship opportunities within this area. These internships will be located in the LA area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule.

 

This could include, but is not limited to:

  • WBTV Social Media Intern: LA – Spring 2025
  • HBO/MAX Editorial Intern: LA – Spring 2025
  • Digital Marketing Intern: LA – Spring 2025

 

Your Role Accountabilities

Duties could include:

  • Participate in set and event visits to capture content with talent
  • Ideate and create social content for our 150 social channels
  • Support and execute always-on editorial campaigns across existing and new platforms
  • Generate original digital content for our sizable digital audiences across HBO Brand social channels
  • Execute both paid and organic social media campaigns to drive audience growth and engagement

 

Qualifications & Experience

Essentials needed for the positions that are similar across the above roles (these do not all have to apply to every single role)

  • Knowledge of the Adobe creative suite
  • Knowledge of operating a camera, lighting, sound
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent grasp of grammar and copywriting for social
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above cumulative GPA).A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.

Your Role Accountabilities

Duties could include:

  • Creating graphics for publishing to B/R’s platforms
  • Communicating with sports teams and fans about using their content with credit
  • Organizing and updating playlists (TikTok and YouTube)
  • Assist in the daily programming of the BR Gaming pages
  • Brainstorm original content offerings
  • Assist in short-form video editing
  • Contribute to weekly Instagram Story publishing and planning

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • ANY sports experience (class, job, student media, sports page, etc.)
  • Editing/Content creation or social media production experience a plus. Managing and growing your own YT/TKT/IG channel a plus
  • Superb organizational and communications skills
  • Background and knowledge in sneakers is a MUST
  • Some knowledge and understanding of Adobe Premiere
  • Photoshop and web publishing skills also a plus
  • Real familiarity with House of Highlights, Creator League, and Broadcast Boys.
  • Wide understanding of gaming landscape
