POSITION SUMMARY

As a Creative Director, you will oversee the design layout and visual impact of all marketing materials, products, and digital content across multiple channels. You will be instrumental in building, protecting, and evolving our brand identity through the planning, development, and execution of company creative, advertisements, and campaigns. An ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with executives and translating strategic vision and ideas into real life through the successful management of a creative team, a marketing agency, or agencies, and working within established project deadlines and budgets. We are seeking a creative director with experience growing direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands and generating powerful creative that connects with our target consumers. 

LOCATION

This position will be on-site at our headquarters in Mesa, Arizona.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE

This is a full-time position: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

COMPENSATION

$70,000 – $80,000 Annually

OBJECTIVES

  • Help build, protect, and evolve our brand identity across multiple channels, mediums, and platforms
  • Build and lead a creative team to design various materials for print and digital collateral including ads, social media posts, websites, landing pages, emails, product inserts, blog posts as well a product label design
  • Work directly with our Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Executive Officer to execute new campaigns, optimize existing ones, and build a forward-looking creative roadmap for the brand for online and potential future retail settings
  • Help establish and build the creative direction for the company as well as leverage established brand guidelines
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
  • Ability to plan, lead, and direct creative shoots with our ambassadors, affiliates, and models to generate high-impact creative content 

COMPETENCIES

  • Leadership skills to effectively guide, coach, and hold a team accountable to deadlines and deliverables
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects, campaigns, and budgets simultaneously
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with our creative team, marketing team, as well as executive leadership
  • Translate strategic direction into high-quality design with an established brand identity
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut/Premier Pro, Illustrator & Figma
  • Photography, videography, and editing skills strongly preferred
  • Experience with layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web design
  • Experience with Shopify, Clickfunnels, or other e-commerce platforms
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current market trends when designing and executing design projects
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, agility to shift creative direction when needed, and resourcefulness to get projects done in a timely and cost-effective manner

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of creative experience across marketing, social media, and digital advertising
  • Preferred but not required: Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field or experience with consumer packaging design and direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands
  • Strongly preferred: photography and videographer experience
  • Experience generating eye-catching branded content around physical products and lifestyle brands
  • You have a strong and compelling portfolio of work with a wide range of creative projects

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Possible travel with the brand to events, expos, and creative shoots
  • Light to moderate physical effort may be required for content production as needed whether on-site or at off-site production locations while carrying camera and video equipment
