American SIgnature Inc. is currently looking for an Art Director of Photography. This key member of the Marketing team is a super organized, detail-oriented creative that understands the process of visual communication beyond photography. They will collaborate with creative leadership and peers within the marketing team working side-by-side bringing to life creative concepts by art directing the photography and content captured in our photo studio. The Art Director gets the big-picture, is a creative problem-solver and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. They will oversee the creative planning, execution and capture of assets for use across all marketing media. This role reports to the Sr. Creative Director.
Responsibilities:
· Lead the creative execution of our in-house photo shoots with focus on capturing brand right imagery and assets for all omnichannel content.
· Art direct lifestyle and product photography. Work with set design, lighting and within a studio environment focused on in home furnishings and décor.
· Provide creative vision and leadership on set through clear communication, organizational and time management skills.
· Collaborate with creative leadership on concept development and execution of ideas.
· Curate shot lists, swipe and mood boards that aligns omnichannel needs and clearly communicate idea and objectives. Help drive greater consistency, efficiency and alignment across channels.
· Work with cross-functional marketing and merchandising teams. Partner daily with in-house studio producer, photographers, videographer, stylists, and freelancers. Ensure all creative content meets established goals and objectives.
· Identify shot selects and curate final assets for marketing team to implement into creative.
· Help evolve and maintain ongoing photography processes and standards across all media channels for the brand. Helping to improve creative, photography and production workflow.
· Work with photo studio manager and producer to define and maintain photography schedules within the overall production schedule.
· Contribute to a collaborative and creative culture. Actively participating in regular marketing and team meetings.
Requirements:
· A degree in advertising design, art, photography or related field.
· 10+ years of professional creative or retail experience. 5+ years art directing lifestyle photography.
· Aptitude for finding creative solutions to problems. Able to exhibit diplomacy and decisiveness.
· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Able to establish priorities, set and maintain deadlines and work independently with little supervision.
· Must inspire creativity, innovative thinking, and solutions through clear direction.
· Maintain understanding of current and most up-to-date creative/photo trends as it relates to our brand’s objectives.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire. Able to foster and maintain good relationships with partners and interact with key senior executives.
· Mac proficient with expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud and related creative software.
