Creative Director – Full Time | Marketing

Location: Park City or Salt Lake City, UT, Jackson, WY or Teton Valley, ID, open to Hybrid or Remote

Reports to: Rakesh Patel, VP of Marketing

New West Knifeworks is looking for an exceptional Creative Director to elevate the brand across every customer touchpoint: product, retail and digital. In this role, you will ensure clear and consistent communication, deliver cohesive visuals and define stories that engage. You will collaborate with the product team on design, the retail store on layout and point of purchase and the brand team on content strategy, social media and influencer/partner collaborations.

About you: 

  • 7+ years experience developing creative from ideation to execution across marketing channels, including digital, print, events and retail.
  • 4+ years of experience coordinating photo and video shoots.
  • 4+ years of experience in managing/overseeing a range of creative positions and/or agencies such as graphic design, production, and art direction.
  • Proven creative examples of successfully launched projects that demonstrate strategic, conceptual and creative thinking.
  • Experience in DTC e-commerce businesses focused on helping the end user understand the key messaging and call to action.
  • Experience in retail layout, product display and experiential marketing preferred.
  • Have a digital native approach to creativity, social media and new technology in all aspects of idea-development and final execution across platforms.
  • Drive and passion, particularly in the culinary and food and beverage industries.
  • Ability to set, manage and meet deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.

What you’ll do: 

  • Be the main creative voice for the New West KnifeWorks brand and act as the steward and keeper of the brand guidelines and visual identity. Make it easy for all brand collaborators to support and uphold the brand.
  • Lead and direct the ideation, presentation and execution of all creative marketing and advertising campaigns.
  • While exercising a good eye for aesthetics, grasp and distill complex product attributes and translate them into clean, focused, understandable solutions.
  • Bring data, trends and design ideas to the product team and collaborate on regular product drops and existing in-line products.
  • Partner with the marketing team to design the unboxing experiences and custom or semi-custom products for use in PR and influencer relationships. 
  • Partner with the marketing team to define a marketing calendar, including key messages and creative concepts.
  • Partner with the marketing team to deliver a content strategy for social media that builds community, drives engagement and expands our platforms.
  • Collaborate with marketing and retail teams to reduce acquisition costs and increase engagement across digital, social and retail through the creation of innovative, customer-centered concepts.
  • Run a creative project management process and produce on-time assets and designs across website, social media, email, digital advertising, partnerships and retail.
  • Curate all creative concepts, photography, design, typography, copywriting, art and styling direction for all creative channels; including social, paid media, email, branded content, retail and brand partner creative/activations.
  • Be a valued and inspirational partner by promoting strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Boom Operator for Cosmic Horror Student Film

Job Description
A student film production is seeking a Boom Operator for a three-day shoot on a cosmic horror short film. The project aims to create an unsettling, atmospheric experience and will require a sound technician comfortable working in an eerie, story-driven setting. All professional sound equipment will be provided on set.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate boom microphone and manage sound equipment during filming

  • Collaborate with the director and sound team to ensure audio clarity

  • Monitor environmental sound and adjust mic placement accordingly

Requirements
