The Role

KBPR launched 14 years ago as a dynamic, bespoke PR and marketing communications agency dedicated to the pensions, investment and employee benefit industries. Fast forward to today and it is fair to say we have become a leader in our field. We have won the FT Pensions and Investment Awards Best Financial Services PR Company five times now, a remarkable achievement, and work with some of the most respected brands and thought leaders in the market.

 

KBPR both challenges and supports its clients to help them achieve their communication objectives and works collaboratively with journalists to achieve best possible content.

 

We are looking for another bright and enthusiastic individual to join our team. The role would suit someone from the pension’s world with experience of PR/communications who is looking to move on to the next stage in their career.

Tasks will include:

  • Liaising with clients and attending client meetings and events
  • Building connections and relationships with journalists, clients, and industry peers
  • Proofreading and issuing copy – including press releases, articles and blogs
  • Arranging client interviews and press commentary calls
  • Keeping up to date with key industry and legislative dates
  • Undertaking relevant market research as required
  • Analysing and evaluating media coverage and preparing client reports
  • Willingness to network and provide occasional organisation and support with events, such as press breakfasts and client seminars

Senior Assistant / Associate Talent Agent

Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced entertainment professional ready to take the next step in their career. A thriving talent agency is looking to welcome a Senior Assistant or Associate-level Talent Agent to its growing Manchester office. This position is ideal for someone currently working within a talent agency or casting environment, with a solid understanding of the industry’s pace and demands.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations in the office, including client scheduling and availability

  • Coordinate self-tapes and provide feedback and redirection to artists

  • Maintain strong, supportive relationships with clients

  • Provide diary management and administrative support for agents and talent

  • Attend industry events, showcases, and theatre nights (often outside office hours)

  • Assist with project submissions, pitches, and follow-ups

  • Collaborate closely with clients and build networks within the entertainment industry

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a talent agency or casting environment

  • Solid understanding of casting directors and their preferences

  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills

  • Computer literacy (PC preferred) and familiarity with Tagmin and Spotlight

  • Experience reviewing and providing notes on self-tapes

  • Strong contract negotiation and communication abilities

  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks under pressure

  • Friendly, professional, problem-solving, and collaborative personality

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
