Photography Intern – Spring 2022

We work with social media influencers to monetize their followers by creating products to sell via eCommerce. We work at a fast pace and have lots of fun along the way. After many requests, we’re starting a new intern program for college students pursuing applicable degrees during the spring, summer, and fall semesters. This is an extraordinary opportunity to gain hands-on experience and to learn from an amazing team. Please note: This is an unpaid opportunity and intended for academic credit, preferred junior or senior level standing. Please submit a resume and a cover letter sharing why you’re interested in working with Inked. The term will coincide with the summer semester, and those with outstanding performance may be invited to continue through the fall semester.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Style and photograph a variety of products. Create and edit video content to be utilized in online marketing efforts.
  • Produce engaging and innovative imagery. Learn how to interpret consumer response and translate it into effective media that assists the growth of overall brand and sales of products.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Design teams; learn how many teams work together to run successful marketing campaigns and eCommerce platforms.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicating progress and meeting deadlines.
  • Create media catered to the aesthetic of each individual brand.
  • Support continuous improvement, challenging the status quo, and offering creative solutions.
  • Contribute to and support a positive, creative, and collaborative culture and continuously improve efficiency, communication, and work products.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Currently, a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Marketing, Art, or related field.
  • Prior work and/or educational experience in photography required; videography experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in basic design programs including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Passion for your art, your role in our customer’s experience, and commitment to personal work ethic, highly creative and imaginative.
  • Detail Orientation – Exhibits a high level of accuracy and precision while maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Organizational Skills – Demonstrates strong organization, prioritizing and managing conflicting demands to meet deadlines; consistent follow-up.

Sound Operator (Paid Role – LA-Based)

A Los Angeles-based production team is hiring an experienced Sound Operator to join the crew for a YouTube docu-series centered on real human stories — exploring empathy, conflict, and connection through immersive, emotional storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Record clear, high-quality audio during on-location shoots.

  • Collaborate closely with the director, DP, and editor to maintain consistent sound design and tone.

  • Set up and manage all sound recording equipment, including boom mics, lavaliers, and mixers.

  • Ensure proper sound levels, minimize background noise, and troubleshoot technical issues during filming.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sound Operator or Sound Mixer on documentary, branded, or digital video projects.
