Job Description

“Chicago Fire” is seeking men and women to work as non-speaking background extras in an interior firehouse scene. The production is casting talent to portray firefighters, white-shirt personnel, and administrative staff. This paid background acting opportunity is open to performers in their 20s–60s who are local to Chicago, surrounding suburbs, or nearby Illinois border states.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray firefighters, white-shirt personnel, or administrative staff in a firehouse scene.
  • Perform natural background actions appropriate to a working firehouse environment.
  • Follow direction from the production team throughout filming.
  • Maintain character and continuity during the production day.
  • Remain professional and camera-ready while on set.

Requirements

“Chicago Fire” is seeking men and women to portray police officers, military personnel, firefighters, and first responders in upcoming scenes. The production is looking for both real professionals with police, military, or firefighting experience and background actors who can convincingly portray these roles. Talent must be local to Chicago, surrounding suburbs, or nearby Illinois border states.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray police officers, military personnel, firefighters, or first responders in background scenes.
  • Perform realistic first responder and public safety actions as directed.
  • Follow instructions from the production team throughout filming.
  • Maintain an authentic and professional presence on camera.
  • Real professionals may use their experience to bring additional authenticity to scenes.
