Police Types – Non-Speaking Extras

Job Description
Casting men and women to portray police types for a non-speaking background role in a popular television series. Selected talent will appear in a police bar scene. Applicants should have a natural look suited for law enforcement roles.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray a believable police presence in a casual bar setting

• Follow on-set instructions to fit the scene’s tone and action

• Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work for the duration of filming

Requirements

• Men (20s–40s) and women (20s–50s), all ethnicities

• Short hair, no facial hair for men

• Must be local to Chicago, IL, surrounding suburbs, or border states

• Real police officers may submit in uniform

• Provide a recent, clear, color photograph showing current hairstyle (no headshots, comp cards, blurry images, hats, sunglasses, or cropped head/hair)

• Clothing sizes must be submitted

Background Actors – Firefighters & Pedestrians

Job Description
A popular TV drama is casting males and females of all ethnicities to portray firefighters and pedestrians in upcoming scenes. Filming will take place in the Chicago area, and talent must be local to Chicago, surrounding suburbs, or nearby border states to Illinois.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray assigned background roles with professionalism and realism

• Follow on-set directions from the production team

• Maintain continuity throughout takes and scenes

• Arrive on time and camera-ready for the shoot

Requirements

• Males and females, all ethnicities, ages 20s–70s

• For firefighter roles: males must be clean-shaven with short hair

• Must not have worked on this production in the past two weeks or be booked for an upcoming date

• Local hire only (Chicago and surrounding regions)

• Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods on set

Compensation

Stand-In Actor – African American Male

Job Description
A television production is seeking an African American male to serve as a stand-in for an actor during filming. The stand-in will match the actor’s physical characteristics and will be used for lighting and camera blocking before the main performance. This is a great opportunity to gain on-set experience and work closely with the production crew.

Job Responsibilities

• Stand in for the actor during lighting and camera blocking

• Maintain the same height, weight, and complexion as the actor for continuity

• Follow instructions from the camera and lighting departments

• Be punctual and prepared for each filming day

Requirements

• African American male, light to medium complexion, dark hair

• Height: 6’1” to 6’3” | Weight: 170–210 lbs

• Age range: 20s to 40s

• Must be local to Chicago, suburbs, or surrounding border states to IL

• Prior stand-in or set experience preferred but not required
