About Us

About the role:

The Producer, Streaming TV will support TMB’s Streaming TV team’s Producers and VP, Current Programming & Development to produce longform programming for Jukin’s quickly growing FAST channel/OTT/CTV business. This role will oversee the creation and production of Streaming TV programming, 3rd party formats. The candidate has a solid skillset in storytelling, communicating and production for TV audiences as well as Digital audiences. Great opportunity to be part of an award-winning team.

This position will report to the Director, Development & Current Programming and the Producer, Streaming TV.

This position is based in our Los Angeles Office

About You

You are passionate about UGC content and half hour television series. You enjoy producing unscripted television from all POVs including VO narration, stage direction, and the incorporation of UGC content into the narrative. You are able to produce for a broad scope of genres including comedy, lifestyle and athletic/sports and weather and adventure.

Above all, you are excited by challenges, with a strong desire to learn and adapt with the company, and grow with our team. This position will report to the Director, Current Programming & Development, Streaming TV and is based in Los Angeles, California.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Producers in the US and in India, Producers and Vice President of Current & Development in the creation of Streaming TV length-episodes, including originally filmed productions as well as clip-based formats in all genres
  • Casting: research talent (both TV and influencers) and do outreach to talent and their reps as it pertains to shows in development, and put talent candidates on tape for review
  • Help manage and maintain post production workflow by working with stakeholders including Producers and Post Supervisor
  • Drive and own the entire production flow of the Elevated and Basic tiers of programming (the clips/comps shows):
    • Curation of clips into rundowns/scripts for series
    • Sends finished rundowns to editors to build string outs, and to writer to construct copy
    • Oversees the edit process, distribution of cuts, S&P coordination, through delivery under the guidance of the series producer
  • Communication with the Director, Scheduling and Strategy to insure accurate delivery dates, deliverables and be flexible with air dates adjustments for Elevated and Basic series
  • Collaborate and oversee the re-format and/or creation of 3rd party content – liaise with content partners and talent and reps to make personality driven series
  • Act as a skilled resource that can guide and help stakeholders in Airtable
  • Creatively participate in the ideation and execution of series, with a great eye for talent, and how that talent will work into series
  • Maintain and collect information for weekly production and development updates and distribute to senior management
  • Other duties as assigned by Producers and Vice President, Current Programming & Development.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as an Associate Producer and/or Assistant Director, or Production Coordinator ready to make the next step
  • Experience in a casting environment for TV, digital or film
  • Mastery of the English language and a familiarity of English used in U.S. social media
  • Experience with editorial and content curation
  • Deep understanding of digital video trends, analytics and publishing standards
  • Strong writing skills in social media and short form formats
  • Passion for storytelling in an unscripted, daily publishing environment
  • Personality profile to fit into a high-growth, entrepreneurial culture that requires teamwork and significant interaction with employees at all levels
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile growth environment where you will get your hands into the details
  • Well-developed Microsoft Office, Jira, scheduling, and Google suite skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Experience filming and/or editing for Television and/or Social Media with a familiarity with Premiere Pro a plus

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Videographer/Editor position requires skills in a high-volume production environment specializing in the final storytelling of a project. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the filming and editing process for company video projects.  This position requires a diverse knowledge of industry standard types of cameras and production equipment along with basic Avid editing skills.  They will work closely with the Producers, Videographers and Editors on staff to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest technical and aesthetic standards. They are responsible for maintaining the company’s production assets and working with the department production calendar so that equipment is ready for each project.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support production staff with variety of projects using production gear including various models of cameras, lenses, tripods, and other gear related to shooting.
  • Work with Production team to build sets for production needs.
  • Assist with general duties.
  • Maintaining production equipment before and after projects.
  • Coordinate the tracking of all production assets.
  • Assist with research and ordering of equipment.
  • Support with reporting and tracking maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
  • Ingest media into company’s archiving system and prepare media for Editors.
  • Log footage and edit basic to intermediate level projects.
  • Operate additional cameras as needed for production needs including live events.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Minimum college or trade school experience in production or similar field..
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical field experience working in multiple aspects of film and video production.
  • Color grading at intermediate level.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Thorough understanding of fishing, hunting, and other outdoor skills as required to best work with production team in outdoor recreation company.
  • Strong work ethic. Outgoing personality with ability to interact within group of creative individuals in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Willingness to react with short notice to changes in daily routine.
  • Willing to travel as required – often locations require extensive driving and multiple night stays with early and late hours.
  • Strong communication skills – able to understand direction and make themselves understood when communicating objectives for accomplishing story lines or goals of a production.
  • Thorough knowledge of Avid non-linear editing systems, specifically the Avid Media Composer or similar.
  • Strong working knowledge of various codecs, containers and file types used in today’s media environment.
  • Able to work within a team environment including in the field or studio and in the post process, editing and finishing.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy equipment in variety of terrain and conditions from very hot to very cold.
  • Good driving record, able to secure Missouri Operator’s License Class E.
  • Good organizational skills: able to keep multiple projects balanced at any one time
  • Strong video resume required.  This resume should demonstrate samples from all of the areas mentioned above.
