Music Video Casting: Featured & Background Roles (Ages 20–28)

Job Description
A music video is now casting featured and background talent for multiple scenes. Production is seeking confident performers who can bring character energy, follow direction, and work efficiently on a fast-paced set. Several roles require light acting ability, and most scenes are casting Black talent, with one featured role seeking a white male who can appear as a fed agent in a black suit and tie. If you’re a reliable local performer with open availability and solid on-camera presence, this is a strong paid music video opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform in music video scenes as featured or background talent with believable reactions and movement.

• Take direction for blocking, timing, and continuity across multiple takes.

• Bring character-specific energy (street vibe, dancer atmosphere, casual hooper, rapper performance scenes).

• Maintain wardrobe continuity and stay camera-ready throughout filming.

• Arrive on time and stay professional in a fast-moving production environment.

Requirements

• Ages 20–28 (must be able to portray).

• Must be able to work as a local hire in Long Beach, California (no travel provided).

• Reliable transportation required (no gas/transportation reimbursement).

• Light acting ability preferred for certain featured roles.

• Role-specific notes:

  • Featured “Gangsta,” “Pole Dancer,” “Hooper,” and “Rapper” roles: should be able to act somewhat.

  • “Pole dancer friend” role: does not need pole dancing ability (background in scene).

  • “Fed agent” role: white male with a black suit and tie required.

  • Most other roles: Black talent requested for the scenes.

Compensation

• Featured roles (10 hours): $275.

• Background/secondary roles (6 hours): $120.
