Role and Responsibilities for Creative Director
The job of Creative Director at Artifact goes beyond overseeing creative production on specific jobs. This is a leadership role, which means this individual is not only responsible for making sure our team is on-target and on-time, but also for making sure our clients gets the highest quality for their budget and timeline. All leadership roles at Artifact are involved with overall company goal setting, motivation and support of teams, developing relationships with Artifact’s current clients and helping our Executive Producer in establishing new clientele. Above all our Creative Director needs to exude a genuine passion and excitement for design, and a desire to create the highest quality visual products and experiences.
 Specific Responsibilities
- Develop and manage creative concepts through production. This includes conceptualizing and presenting ideas, planning the creative approach, and leading teams through working with footage, motion graphics and visual effects to tell the brand stories of our clients.
- Lead teams through a diverse range of projects, large and small, from 2D cell animation to 3D based jobs to interactive projects.
- Work closely with our Head of Production in choosing the appropriate resources for each job.
- Compose treatments, style-frames, and boards to solve the client creative brief .
- Mentor junior talent within the design department.
- Work closely with Project Producer to ensure projects stay within allotted budget and timeline.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of creative technology advancements and current design trends.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of art direction, post-production, motion design and animation experience.
- Knowledge of Adobe CC, Premier, Affect Effects and 3D pipelines,
- Applicants must exude integrity, honesty, and professionalism at all times.Â
- Solid presentation skills. Comfortable presenting ideas to new clientele, and production progress to existing clientele.
- Ability and willingness to mentor other senior and junior staff members, able to inspire teamwork and collaboration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple requests and responsibilities. This includes the ability and willingness to delegate.
- Ability to remain focused and calm within a sometimes fast-pasted environment.
- A genuine passion and excitement for design, and a desire to create the highest quality visual products and experiences.
- Experience in AR/VR/interactive or user interface design is beneficial.
- Strong portfolio of completed work.
