Donut Media is hiring for a dynamic Show Producer to helm Donut Media’s new YouTube series, FreeRide, from pilot to ongoing series. As the Producer, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of creatives to fully realize the show concept and deliver a successful series measured both by creative excellence and audience engagement. While you will be the creative lead and visionary for this series you will also interact with our physical production team to ensure creative and budgets are aligned.

Donut Media is the leading destination for automotive enthusiasts on the internet. Our YouTube channel creates original content that sparks ambition, thrill, and the “get your hands dirty” attitude for intellectually curious car fanatics!

The Opportunity:

This is a unique opportunity to champion a new series with the backing and support of a brand name like Donut Media. In this role you will lead a team of creatives in creating compelling episodic content that not only engages our current subscribers but attracts new fans and subscribers and grows our YouTube channel. Your creative influence doesn’t end there as many of our shows inspire our merchandise development as well as special events. Donut Media is in an aggressive phase of launching new shows and business initiatives, as part of our team you will plug into an organization of multi-faceted individuals with great imagination and innovative spirit.

The Responsibilities:

As Show Producer, you will perform the following activities:

  • Work with executives to develop show format and vision for the show across multiple episodes.
  • Assemble a new creative team! Oversee and manage that team from writing ideas through to post production.
  • Develop thumbnails with the creative team.
  • Work with production teams to coordinate creative vision and production logistics to deliver final episodes and deliverables.
  • Work with talent coordinator to manage talent availability.
  • Oversee the identification and sourcing of featured products for series.
  • Ensure final delivery is on time and on budget.


The Qualifications:

  • A strong working knowledge of automotive mechanics is a must to succeed in this role.
  • Experience in reality tv game show formats is preferred, sourcing contestants and legalities around contests and fulfillment.
  • Experience overseeing mid range live action production budgets and associated logistics, while this is YouTube this is not a low budget production.
  • Proven writing experience in episodic content, writing samples are a plus.
  • Experience working in Youtube/Digital Video. You should know the formats, trends, production and animation styles prevalent on YouTube.
  • Experience overseeing edits if not also possessing hands on editorial skills.


The Person:

  • An aptitude for storytelling, with experience and understanding of unscripted/reality, on YouTube and other digital platforms is essential.
  • Comfortable working alone with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Ability to work within processes and procedures of a larger organization.
  • Enjoys being hands on, rolling up his or her sleeves and working within a team.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and via all text forms.
  • Resourceful and able to make decisions quickly.
  • Plugged in. You should have a good awareness of pop culture, car culture, and current trends.

Job Description
A character-driven, culturally rich romantic dramedy titled FUEGO is seeking experienced crew members for a SAG moderate budget feature currently in soft pre-production. Inspired by the emotional depth of Silver Linings Playbook and the energy of Shall We Dance?, this story centers on Gio, a bartender rediscovering his passion for dance while facing personal rivalries and unresolved grief. The production will shoot for 24 days in San Diego and is backed by a screenplay that won Best Screenplay at the International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival and was a finalist in the Urban World Film Festival.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee pre-production, scheduling, and budgeting as Line Producer or UPM

  • Manage daily operations on set and facilitate seamless coordination between departments

  • Lead production team logistics and ensure smooth execution during filming

  • Assist the director in planning and executing the vision with clarity and precision

Requirements

  • Proven experience in film production, especially on SAG moderate budget features

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Available for a 24-day shoot beginning in late July in San Diego

  • Passion for story-driven projects with a culturally grounded narrative
