The Position: As a News Producer for 9&10 News you will be responsible for helping to produce a newscast that inspires but also delivers quality journalism. You will be one of the leaders of the newscast, and with that you must be able to wear multiple hats. When breaking news hits, you will be part of the team leading the charge. Responsibilities
- Responsible for writing, story development, and showcasing news content

- Contribute to the editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situations
- Focus on engaging writing – making stories relevant to audiences
- Occasionally writing AP-style articles our website & posting video online
- Knowing how to edit video using Adobe Premiere software to help editors during breaking news
- Collaborate with reporters, anchors, news managers, assignment editors and the digital team to determine content and multiplatform needs
Requirements

- Responsible for web, social, print, experiential, and broadcast script copy across all platforms and will fulfill copy needs as they arise.

- Conceive and execute editorial, script, and marketing copy in line with brand voice set forth by Head of Editorial & Brand Content.
Copywriter Qualifications:
- A strong interest in fashion, brand building, and creative communication.
- Must have previous studio, ad agency, or in-house experience working on beauty, fashion, or lifestyle accounts. (Ad agency experience is desirable.)
- Strong writing, editing, grammar and copyediting skills.
- Ability to write in a fresh, sophisticated way that speaks to a professional, stylish, and elegant target demographic.
- A thorough understanding of writing for multiple web, social, editorial, and broadcast media.

• Strong understanding of design principles, colour theory and typography and building of production files across a variety of projects including packaging, signage, fabrication and digital rollouts.

• Strong communicator and ability to build relationships with Account Service, Creative, Design, Physical Production and Event Production departments to prepare artwork for deployment (print, digital, content).
