Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position manages the ideation and execution of creative and content to meet our marketing team needs. This includes all sorts of content from written to video to infographics to ebooks to digital ads. You will partner with our Paid Media Manager and our Brand Manager to help them define, ideate & secure the creative and content they need to drive their channels.
We are looking for an energetic creative who can take marketing goals and develop the powerful stories and creative needed to reach those goals. Ideally, someone who makes creative decisions with the help of data and testing results, not just intuition.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of creative and content for SpotOn Fence that is on brand, resonates with our target customers, and drives results.
- Collaborate with the Paid Media Manager to develop creative based on testing results. Help this manager to translate the data into creative and messaging to test and then source the creative execution.
- Collaborate with the Brand Manager to develop assets that are engaging and support the growth of our owned channels such as the website, social media, and email. Ideate asset sets to drive thought leadership on topics that matter to our target customer.
- Source, write briefs for and manage freelancers to develop content of all kinds, bringing in the right resource for the project. Be able to execute personally on at least a few of the projects, such as video, graphic design, photography, audio, copywriting or have technical expertise to deploy asset sets on our website.
- Collaborate with VP of Marketing to update brand positioning, messaging, and creative guidelines as needed. Push the team to develop better brand and differentiate from competitors as well as resonate with our target customers. Oversee market research, as needed, to make these recommendations.
Requirements
- BA/BS in any field
- 2+ years as a producer, Creative Director or Art Director managing teams to produce effective consumer creative.
- 2+ years experience with managing and creating video projects, especially for social media and YouTube.
- 2-4 years working in a creative discipline: graphic design, copywriting, photography, script writing, video production, or podcast production.
- Proven experience working with teams to test creative and using data to develop new theories to test.
- Strong collaboration skills, works well across the team valuing input from different disciplines. Good listener. Humble enough to consider other points of view.
- Good communicator and storyteller. Can take in lots of data points and translate into a messaging and creative strategy.
- Innovative and can take the team in new directions that drive results.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technology
- Experience working with dogs, either professionally or personally, is a plus. Comfort with touching and working with dogs is required.

Defines the creative vision
- Define the creative vision for the Publishing.com brands; which includes digital advertising campaigns across multiple channels and mediums, marketing messages, articulating and managing brand consistency and guidelines.

In this role, you will work onsite at the GM studio, ensuring all technical and digital aspects of the virtual walkthrough flow smoothly – from setting up video equipment and setting up the network connection to ensuring there are no connection issues and that onscreen intro and end frames are correct.
The Associate Producer is an entry level position responsible for supporting all levels of production on integrated engagements, sometimes leading small engagements on his/her own. It is a learning position where priority is to have wide exposure into different productions, but also a role who is expected to independently manage small/low stakes productions. You are our first source of information, communications, and statuses/successes/failures, and act as the documenters and trouble shooters for all things going on in the studio, ensuring the correct info gets to the correct people in a timely manner.

- Defining game’s art style, while complying with the creative vision of the initial art direction
- Conveying expectations, both in terms of the level of quality and content (backgrounds, environments, characters), to the graphics team (lead artists, concept artists, environment artists, character artists, animation team) by making use of the pertinent visual references, concept art, production design, and atmosphere materials
- Developing high standards of quality
- Supervising and approving work completed by the team to ensure that the elements produced comply with the vision for the game, as well as meeting standards for quality
- Guiding the development and ensuring the maintenance of the flow of artistic tasks
- Providing guidance and advice to the team, as well as managing freelancers and outside studios, if necessary

Requirements
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience as an art manager, or project manager on AAA console/PC projects (games published on mobile platforms are an asset)
- Excellent artistic and technical skill sets (concept art, illustration, high-resolution sculpting/modelling, UI design)
- Expertise with 2D/3D next-gen production tools (knowledge of rendering engines and of compositing is an asset)
- Technical expertise with the main graphics engines on the market (knowledge of iOS platforms is an asset)
- Able to adapt to different management/data-monitoring systems

Are you an experienced digital design professional who lives to inspire others through visual storytelling? We’re a thriving strategic communications, digital and creative agency based in Boston that works with trailblazers in the biotech industry. We’re looking for someone with 7+ years experience in digital design who will bring their creative lense to leading, collaborating and creating projects across multiple platforms: brand messaging, logo design, web design, and digital.
Please Note: Our headquarters office is located in downtown Boston, MA. Our Boston area employees collaborate in office together two days a week with flexibility/remote work on other days. Our remote employees spend time in Boston for company, client and team meetings as needed.
What You’ll Be Doing Day To Day
- Lead the development of design concepts and direction for client projects including branding, website and experiential design, campaigns, environmental design, biomedical illustration, video and animation, and related projects.
- Make conceptual and stylistic decisions, create innovative and new design and concept layouts, mockups and prototypes to illustrate design ideas to other members of the team and client teams.
- Lead presentation of creative solutions to clients, responding to client feedback and requests for final approval.
- Help supervise project teams / staff and oversee multiple design projects at one time, ensuring all deadlines are met and providing quality control by reviewing and editing project team’s final products before distribution.
- Partner and collaborate with account team leaders for joint ownership, while driving a deep understanding of client brand strategy.
- Participate in and contribute to creative and account team meetings and ensure that all stakeholders are clear on outcomes, next steps and responsibilities.
- Contribute to defining, building and refining creative offerings and processes and to cultivate new and innovative methods and approaches to design challenges.
- Stay current on latest design trends, strategies and relevant technologies/tools.

What You’ll Bring To Our Team
- 7+ years digital design experience, with direct agency experience working with corporate clients preferred. Biotech industry knowledge is highly desirable, but we’re open to meeting talented professionals who have a desire to learn about this industry.
- Degree in graphic design, fine arts, advertising or related field. Digital design expert with the ability to design across all mediums. Strong art direction skills, including photo and video shoot expertise.
- You’ll be highly proficient with computer design tools, especially the Adobe Creative Suite, and a familiarity with web design technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, SquareSpace) and 3D design and rendering tools is a definite plus. You’ll also be working in Microsoft Office day to day and should have a strong command of those applications, PowerPoint in particular.
- Demonstrated conceptual design skills with the ability to build and convey strong and considered design rationale. You’ll have an established visual perspective with the ability to both advocate for design decisions and to be open to collaborative feedback that is integrated into final design solutions.
- Expert knowledge of design practices such as brand development, user-centered experience design, corporate presentation design and design for social media.
- Highly practiced presentation skills and strong client relationship management abilities. You’re organized to a fault. A detail-oriented and resourceful individual with excellent communication skills, someone who is comfortable communicating in person, in virtual meetings, phone, email and other communications tools.
- Prior experience mentoring and managing junior designers. You’re someone who thinks and acts on how to inspire creativity in others and themselves.
