Sixteenfifty is looking for an Account Director to drive collaboration between key clients and the Sixteenfifty team to ensure creative campaigns, relationships and workflow are in sync and moving in the right direction. In addition to serving as the hub of the team, you will contribute to brand and marketing strategy, agency operations, oversee and guide teams, manage creative projects, and use your resourcefulness to solve problems. You innately go beyond passing information along from one group to another – you provide synthesis, context, and interpretation. You confidently take the reigns, own initiatives independently, and can write, think and plan as well as you can ensure day-to-day work is executed at a high level.

What kind of clients you ask… We predominantly work in the hospitality space with Hotels, Casinos, entertainment destinations with a few boutique DTC brands.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee Sixteenfifty work for multiple clients, driving projects forward in a strategic, thoughtful way, while building relationships with clients and the Sixteenfifty team
  • Oversee a team of Account Executives, Digital & Social Team, ensuring timelines and deliverables are hit
  • Deliver work on-brand and on-time always, adding knowledge and insight during internal reviews to ensure work meets client expectations and is the best it can be
  • Translate clients needs into concise, synthesized briefs and input for the design team
  • Contribute to brand and marketing strategy development and plans
  • Develop timelines, status documents and other client reports
  • Write and edit copy
  • Ability to manage select projects while overseeing other teams
  • Work with design leads to determine priorities
  • Manage operations with leadership team, including: proposals, internal resources, hiring, reviews, culture
  • Develop, mentor and grow the internal team
  • Work with ownership & executive team for Agency growth

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of creative agency experience (Casino experience a plus)
  • Self-starter, independent and entrepreneurially minded
  • High level of client service and excellent communication skills
  • Strategic thinker
  • Marketing mind
  • Hospitality industry, gaming or consumer products experience preferred 
  • Detail-oriented, organized and good at multitasking
  • Capable of navigating through clutter and uncertainty, as well as knowledgeable on when and how to change directions
  • Relentless, resourceful and tenacious spirit
  • Ability to write copy and steer creative
  • Experience guiding and leading a team of creatives, account executives

Salary based on Experience: $100-$120k yearly

Sixteenfifty, a boutique creative, advertising and branding agency, is looking for an experienced Creative Director. This individual must be a well-rounded designer with intelligent design skills and a refined sense of detail. This is a hands on role as you will be tasked to design and help steer creative. This position works directly with ownership and is able to lead and create from concept through to final product. This includes identity/brand development, advertising campaigns, interior concepts, websites, hospitality concepts, crafting guest experiences, TV commercials; we do it all. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, not afraid of crafting copy, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, able to work both autonomously and as part of a team, and possess the ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously without freaking out. You will be responsible for taking briefs from account managers, clients and ownership, working across a wide range of projects, and have the ability to direct a design team and get your hands dirty on projects. We are a gritty group, and take pride in our hands-on approach.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create design solutions for our various clients, including but not limited to print, web, TV, social, environmental, creative campaigns.

• Lead a team of designers

• Design and work on your own projects while multi-tasking with the team on various other projects

• Develop concepts in conjunction with ownership

• Prepare files for printing and publishing

• Interface with merchants, creative, pre-press, and traffic teams to ensure design approvals • Work in conjunction with different teams on collaborative projects

• Work on various hospitality experiences from casinos, hotels, restaurants to various other clients

• Ability to understand, craft, and steer messaging to ensure it is on-brand

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

• BA required in design, graphic arts, interactive media or related field

• Minimum of 8 years of prior agency work experience in a similar position

• Ability to prepare final mechanical files for release to printer

• Proficient with Mac OSX and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Illustrator proficiency and efficiency REQUIRED)

• Well developed typography skills (with knowledge of visual hierarchies)

• Strong conceptual and brainstorming skills

• The ability to work in a timely manner to meet deadlines

• Good presentation skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills and social personality

• Self-motivated, hard-working, initiative-taking

• Exposure to diverse project work

JOB DESCRIPTION:

– Collaborate with the creative and accounts teams to develop social media strategies

– Create, schedule, and publish social media content for clients on various channels including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Tik Tok, and Twitter

– Curate, create, and deliver creative content for social media calendar (photos, video, GIFs, etc.)

– Write, schedule, and publish original blog content bi-monthly

– Foster community engagement while monitoring social channels for comments, feedback, and reviews

– Assist in creating and running promotions, contests, and sweepstakes

– Create relationships with influencers to leverage social media following and engagement

– Define, measure, and analyze social media KPIs through monthly and quarterly reports to be sent to clients

– Stay up to date on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

– Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism or other relevant fields

– 2+ years of social media experience

– Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms

– Excellent understanding of social media KPIs

– Excellent written communication skills

– Understanding of social analytics and tools (SproutSocial, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.)

– Basic understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics

– A keen eye for design and aesthetic

– Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized

– Technical proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Canva, InDesign

– Passion for all things social and digital media
