Job Detail: Boston Casting is searching for talented Black Male Golfers to feature in an upcoming commercial. This is a paid non-union gig that offers a fantastic opportunity for golfers in the age range of 30-50 with a single-digit handicap to showcase their skills on screen.

Job Responsibilities: Selected candidates will be cast as golfers in a commercial promoting a well-known golf brand. As a golfer, you must display your golfing abilities, including swing, putting, and overall gameplay. The commercial will be shot on either August 7th or 8th, and participants must be available for the specified shoot date.

Job Details: We seek talented individuals for an upcoming commercial project titled “Coach Holiday 2023.” This is a non-union project with a 3-month term length. The commercial will be used for digital and print platforms, including email, organic, paid social media, press, third-party retailers/wholesalers, in-store displays, and mall on-site advertisements. The estimated usage start date is November 1st.

Job Responsibilities: Selected talents will be featured as lead characters in individual “films” for the commercial. Each lead talent will be responsible for participating in a hero campaign video. The shoot days are scheduled between August 23rd and September 1st. On-set hours will be 12, including hair and makeup (HMU) sessions and breaks.

Requirements:

  1. Talent must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  2. Only US citizens or green card holders will be considered for this project. No 0-1 visas will be accepted.
  3. Talents must be available for the callback date on August 10th. Callbacks will be conducted in person in New York City for local talents and via Zoom for skills outside NYC.
  4. If selected, NYC-based talents must be available for a 2-3 hour wardrobe fitting on a date determined during the week of August 14th or August 21st.

Compensation Details: Selected talents will receive a flat rate of $5,500 for their participation in the project. This amount is inclusive of the session fee, usage, and fitting. A 20% agency fee will be deducted, if applicable. Any additional provisions, such as hotel, airfare, ground transportation, per diems, and travel day rates, will be separate and provided if you need them.

Additional Project Details: The project aims to shoot three “films,” and each lead talent will be needed for one shoot day. The shoot dates are within the range of August 23rd to September 1st.

Short Film Casting Search: NORMA PEÑA

Job Detail: Carla Hool Casting seeks talent for an upcoming Short Film. We are committed to authentic casting and representation, specifically looking for actors with any physical disability for the role of NORMA PEÑA. The Short Film aims to tell a powerful and inspiring story about resilience, determination, and the unbreakable bond between sisters.

Job Responsibilities: The selected actor will portray the character of NORMA PEÑA, a 57-year-old Latina woman. Despite being struck with polio at a young age, Norma refused to let her disability define her. Living in a wheelchair and relying on an iron lung at night, she achieved remarkable success, earning a doctorate in Chicano studies, authoring multiple books, and becoming a tenured professor. However, post-polio syndrome eventually forced her to retire.

As NORMA PEÑA, the actor will be responsible for embodying the character’s strength, resilience, and determination. They will portray her emotional journey as she reminisces about her life and the profound absence of her sister, who stayed by her side throughout her struggles with polio.

Requirements:

  1. Physical Appearance: The actor must be 57, portraying a Latina/Latine character.
  2. Physical Disability: We are specifically looking for actors with any physical disability to audition for this role.
  3. Los Angeles Local Hire: Only talent based in Los Angeles will be considered for this casting call.
