***CASTING PRINCIPAL ROLES – NON UNION***

We are casting principal roles for a non-union commercial (video + still photos) for a communication company. No dialogue. 

Roles: 

  • – Men – all ethnicities – late 20s to 40s to portray Military personnel

  • – Girls 8-12 with current Minor Entertainment Permit.

This production is requiring all cast & crew, including background actors, to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and to be considered for work you MUST FALL INTO EITHER OF THE TWO FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: (1) fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine (meaning more than 14 days have passed since you received both the initial and second shot of Pfizer or Moderna, or since you received the single shot of Johnson & Johnson) or (2) have a disability or sincerely-held religious belief that prevents vaccination. 

If you meet either of the two categories above, please submit WITHOUT PROVIDING ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AT THIS TIME. If you are selected, you will be given separate information on how to provide evidence to the production that you fall within either of the two categories mentioned above. Any job offer will be conditioned on satisfactorily showing such evidence to the production either before or upon arrival on set, as determined by the production’s procedures. 

Failure to provide satisfactory evidence will result in your not being hired for the project and/or turned away from set (as though no offer of work was given).  In such case, you will NOT be eligible for payment because you were not employed/hired.  The production, not Central Casting, will collect your evidence; thus, do NOT send your evidence to Central Casting.

Regardless of vaccination, you must still test negative for COVID-19 on one or more tests to be arranged by production prior to the first production work date.  

Lastly, please note that under the July 19, 2021 Return to Work Agreement, if you test negative for COVID-19 and do not show up to work on the production work date, the production is not required to pay you for the testing.   

NOTE: As a condition of working on set, all talent are required to get Covid-19 test at a production sanctioned testing facility prior to any work date. 

Must be okay with any form test (nasal swabs, etc). Additional testing may also be done on workdays. While at the test facility and on set, Production requires that a face mask that covers your nose and mouth be worn.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional experience with time spent in a B2B partnerships, account management or brand success role ideally for a fashion/design/beauty company, startup, ecommerce or media platform
  • Self-motivated, highly organized and versatile
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Tech savvy (experience working with a CRM such as Hubspot is highly desirable)
  • Background or demonstrated interest in fashion/design/beauty brands and ethical/sustainable practices

ASSISTANT THEATER MANAGER

The Assistant Theater Manager is a part-time, non-exempt (hourly) position, without benefits.

 

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Assistant Theater Manager provides administrative and managerial support to the Writers Guild Theater for regularly scheduled Guild Screenings and other private events. The Assistant Theater Manager works nights, weekends, and holidays as required, for an average of 20 hours per week.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Transports and returns supplies/digital film hard drives to and from the WGAW offices to the theater.
  • Opens and closes the theater.
  • Supervises daily theater operations including maintenance, events/screenings and parking.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and provide written reports on theater activities.
  • Answers telephones and checks Guild e-mail.
  • Address member/private client concerns onsite, while referring complex matters to Director of Operations for follow-up.
  • Must have ability to problem solve and handle emergencies without supervision.
  • Provides additional back-up support on the day to day administrative needs of the Operations department.
  • Acts as a liaison for WGAW during screenings/events held at the theater.
  • Ensures that theater clients adhere to house rules during events.
  • Ensures building and safety codes are adhered to during events/screenings.
  • Other duties as required.

 

OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This person must possess strong verbal communication skills and interact professionally with the membership, staff and external industry members in person and on the phone.
  • The successful applicant is able to work independently and comfortably in high pressure situations while juggling multiple tasks at times. 
  • The candidate must be able to drive a motor vehicle and have a current driver’s license and proof of insurance. 
  • The position requires one to work flexible hours. 
  • Customer service, venue management, as well as experience in the entertainment industry in general are preferred.
