FOX5 San Diego is seeking an Executive Producer to oversee our 5.5-hour long morning newscast. Successful candidate is a team leader, a good listener, versatile, focused on solutions and have 5-7 years of line producing background from a TV news station.
• Manages team of 20+ with a focus on mentoring and growth of people and product
• Helps implement strategies to improve product and ratings
• Decides broadcast/digital coverage, content and execution of show, graphics and efficiency of workflow
• Leads editorial meetings
• Collaborates with other managers regarding staffing and coverage
• Edits rundowns, scripts and packages
• Fill in as line producer
• Executes corporate, station, and content integration projects
• Maintains a positive, productive, and balanced newsroom dynamic
