 Key responsibilities
- Lead (and hopefully win????) pitches by exciting and inspiring clients, pushing their briefs beyond their original inception toward innovative new aesthetics, cutting-edge technologies while incorporating fresh design based approaches.
- Work with Production to scope out projects in terms of team, resources and schedules while being mindful of budget and for-seeing potential challenges along the way.
- Take projects and lead them from pitch phase all the way to final delivery, working with our FD team as well as freelancers to push the creative and finish every step of the way.
- Mentor, guide and champion young talent at FD.

Essential skills & experience
- Strong design background.
- Experience directing large and small teams.
- Excellent communication skills leading internal teams and clients through project development.
- A complete understanding of the entire CG production process
- A strong eye for design, composition and colour.
- Able to create strong style frames, but also execute through production to delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of C4D and/or Houdini + Redshift.
- A strong understanding of project workflows.
- High level of execution in 3 of these areas:
- Look Development & Texturing
- 3D Animation and/or simulation
- Scene assembly & lighting
- Concept development & research
- Compositing (AE and/or Nuke)
- Technical problem-solving & workflows

We’re looking for a seasoned hands-on Art Director that can help contribute to original IP at a growing new studio within the NetEase Games family.
Qualified candidates will come from a concept art background and have a deep history doing previz work for games in addition to managing and leading artists.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the core game design team to iterate on concepts and help develop the visual language of a new game
- Serve as a core member of the creative leadership of the studio
- Be able to generate concept illustration for the purposes of developing and iterating on initial game concepts, in addition to helping create and define worlds/environments across a variety of genres
- Provide feedback to each artist on the team through the use of concept art, reference art, 3D mockups, and paint-overs to ensure a consistent visual style across the game at the highest level of quality

Requirements:
- Proficiency in working across a variety of stylized art styles

Job Specific
- Organizes and manages daily operation of Group, Wholesale and VIP Reservations
- Establishes daily goals to maintain service levels
- Contributes to controlling departmental expenses (labor, supplies, etc.)
- Monitors agents phone activity/productivity and addresses necessary issues
- Maintains current knowledge of all functions within systems as they relate to reservations (HIS, Winai, NetRez, Delphi)
- Builds internal group blocks as requested by appropriate hotel managers
- Manages the maintenance of group cut off dates in Delphi/HIS
- Meets with Group Agents weekly to discuss future groups, challenges, progress
- Attends weekly pick up meetings, hotel operations meetings and other meetings as scheduled.
